I also eat when I am not hungry! So.... here are a few ideas that work for me Drink something low or no calorie - water (hot, warm, cold or iced), tea, coffee, broth (I buy chicken or veggie broth and often water it down so it doesn't taste too strong) Floss your teeth - really, this helps! Use mint floss for flavour (lol)…

I live in a cold climate too, and salad in the winter sometimes just does not hit the spot! So I have lots of soups. I don't follow fancy recipes but soup is a great way to get lots of filling veggies without breaking the bank or going over my calories for a day. Also spaghetti squash is a favourite of mine. It is filling,…

I'm 40 years older than you, but pretty much the exact same history stats. When I had a plateau for 4 weeks I asked MFP friends for advice. I was told to measure everything I ate - with a scale, not by volume. They said I was underestimating! Ha ha - I was ticked off and sad because I knew I wasn't.... but I got a food…

I think most of us have this issue sometimes. I save calories and plan to snack. Then when the taste of the snack is 100% gone I brush and floss my teeth. I do stay out of the kitchen too! Good luck.

I have adjusted my thinking from wanting to feel full to wanting to not feel hungry. Big difference in this mindset for me. I agree with posters above that protein and lots of greens are great choices. I drink lots of water too.

I too check out the success stories. Very inspirational! Also, I learned that you start something due to motivation and stick with it due to routine. Good luck.

I have a pair of lovely lined trousers I wore to work 3 years ago. Then I gained and had 2 years when I could not wear them. They were not just tight - I couldn't zip up the side zipper!!! Now I can put them on and do up the zip, just, but they are still to tight to move in. Looking forward to the day they will slip on…
