  • Yes, I think the best course of action switch the calories over to protein and give that a few weeks and see what changes come of it.
  • From what i'm gathering I need to reduce Fat intake, and maybe leave protein where it is. My concern is that it will put me around 1000-1200 calories per day and that is not a good place to be long term.
  • Thanks everyone! The heavy whipping cream I guess isn't too bad, it;s the sweetening part, I use Stevia for other things, but for coffee I find the after taste is horrid, unless there is some flavored creamer involved. I can't do black, especially long term. I need creamy coffee!
  • Hi there, add me, i'm on I'm on a self-placed "maintenance" for now. Back in Jan 2016, I said this is it! I was at 320 lbs and by January this year I was at 197 lb. 120+lb gone! I feel great!!!! I know i'm still obese by medical standards, but I feel amazing and I'm happy. I've taken a break because for me losing weight is…
  • Hey there, feel free to add me, i'm on everyday and love having a community of friends to see their posts and I can vent too when need be. My goal is to lose 160 lb and I've lost 116 lbs so far, 44 more to go! Started Feb last year. We got this! :)
  • Nice, I said the same thing on Jan 25/16 and i'm still here and 82 lbs lighter, you can do this!
  • Apples and clementines, I can't begin to tell you how much I hated fruit, I was a self proclaimed food hater! So people see me eat fruit and they do a double take. Kefir also, I look forward to it! Guacamole on toast with eggs, I never would eat anything with avocado......I am pretty happy with what I eat, which helps to…
  • Hey there, I started this year on Jan 25 at 320.2, I've been going at it hard this year, i'm at 246 right now, and even though i'm not close to goal yet, I've come along way and feel so good!!!! I'll add you of you on my friends list. Worse thing for me is I had lost 126 lb a few years ago and then gained it ALL back, so…
  • When I started I was 320 lb (5'4) and was in a tight 24 or 26. Now i'm at 249 lb and am in a size 18, I can squeeze into all my 16's again but too tight to wear, should be fine in another 10-15 lbs. I find it amazing how different we all are, since I hear people that are my weight now in a 26, or someone that is 190 in a…
  • The fact that you've made the decision is already a huge step! One thing that helped me was joining MFP, logging my food keeps me accountable to myself and also my friends on here. And also getting a Fitbit! Although i've recently stopped using it as much (whole other can of worms) It really boosted me to get more active…
  • I fit into another shirt that I hadn't worn in 3 years, I am now able to shop in all my smaller clothes that was too small that I had boxed up ( I knew I would get back into them)! I have a long way to go, but its a great feeling. Also, I have noticed the my waist is starting to make an appearance as well as my collar…
  • I'll send you a friend request! What's the plan!? :)
  • I think it's interesting how the sizes can vary from person to person when they are the same weight. Mind you I feel like i'm still in the first stages of my journey having lost 45lbs out of an eventual 160lb goal ... SW: 320.2 size 24/26 Depends on brand CW: 275.2 size 20 GW: 160 I say this since I notice most people in a…
  • Napanee ON.....born and bread in Florida though! lol
  • Love it! Welcome aboard! You can rely on us for sure, I love the community here! Some days I may not post, but my friends do, and comment among each other and its good to be surrounded by folks who are walking along side you on the journey.
  • My biggest peave is when you pass on something (for me its carbs) that is at the table or at a restaurant, and someone asks more than twice, are you sure? You can still eat you know? Can't you have at least a cheat day? Just stop!!! Then it launches a whole conversation about what they did on their last diet from 4 years…
  • Many moons ago I tried that, and yes they work, but at the end of the day.....once you get off the shakes, you haven't learned anything about eating healthier and nutrition and most people will gain any lost weight right back. (I did). It's an easy fix for someone looking to lose a couple of pounds, but for something…
  • welcome! if you are looking for friends add me and my diary is open if you want to peak around! Do you have a plan yet?
  • Oh darling! Can I tell you I am in the same boat, but even worse you could say! In 2009 I had had it! I was 315 lbs, and I did a total 360, I signed up with a nutritionist at work and started working in out, and in about a year and a half, I had lost 137 lbs. I was at 178 at my lowest. It was great! I met my husband and I…
  • I don't like bagged salad, I find particularly with ones that have romaine, you get more stalk than the leafy part. Also they go bad faster and I also find a distinct odor in those bags. Fresh is the way to go, even though it takes longer to wash and cut and prep a salad.
  • Hi Ladies, I'm with ya! I'm looking to lose about 150 lbs, but for now, i'd be happy with 100....lost 9 so far! I'm not sure what friends on MFP usually do, I have 1 or 2 but we've never written. I'd like some Weight loss "pen-pals" maybe, for some recipe swapping or food logging ideas, and also exercise. I'm still looking…
  • Once or every two weeks, I will prep meat. Let's say fish, chicken, ground Turkey patties, and thin pork loin and I marinate them and put them into individual plastic bags and then throw them all in a freezer bag. This way every afternoon when I get home I take two different items out and put them out to thaw and so later…
  • Mine is working, and I love it! Went to Apps on MFP and installed it, I did uninstall it at one point at first because I deleted an exercise calculation entry from the Fit Bit and then re-installed and it worked.
