Update - those of you who said not to play games i agree with you. But i didn't text him back last night. I really just didn't feel like going out anyway and i didn't want to text him if i wasn't feeling it. I was also scared to take the plunge and text him first. I had a pretty hard breakup about 3 months ago. But i felt…

Thanks so much for all the advice, I really appreciate it

So was it a mistake to tell him "I'll let you know" if I can see him tonight? I really would like to. What should I do now?
-
Lol :D He was practically begging to see me a little while ago. I said I'd let him know.

Yeah, I mean we did just meet and the plans were made same day. It was annoying when he cancelled though and not something I'd put up with on regular basis. I'll just leaving the ball in his court and making him do all the work for now...will see how it all pans out. He knows he won't hear from me if he doesn't text me…

Thanks all for the input. I'll write back to him and say I'm doing great and act like I haven't given it a 2nd thought. Put the ball back in his court. I have no expectations here.

Yay, awesome job!

Great suggestions here. I grapple with this too. I never felt valued as a person growing up in my family. It seems that only at times when I lost weight did they pay much attention to me. Now I'm maintaining the lowest weight in my adult life ever but still struggle with the low self-image. Hugs to all of you going through…

Sara - I've mostly been doing 3-mile workouts. I don't have a fitbit but probably about 300 calories at my pace.

just started the job a few weeks ago. the pay blows but supposedly they're going to up it after the first 90 days. Also the boss tries to be buddy-buddy with us and is planning a happy hour. I have no intention of walking into that trap!

I'm 5'2 and 125. I'd like to get down to 120. I currently eat about 1200/day with a splurge day on Fridays. I run about 4x/week. I used to exercise a lot more but controlling the eating is what got me the most results (lost 85+ pounds). I'd like to add more exercise back in if only because I love to eat! But I'm surprised…

whoa! Definitely second zyxst.

That's actually a cool idea if it works for you...but there are certain foods I would not trust myself to have around like that. For example I love chinese cracker mixes and I pigged out on it almost every time I bought it. It would not be pretty if I had that stuff around in bulk!
-
Yeah I've been down...going through a "breakup" but in ways we were never going out. Messed up situation. I pigged out all day yesterday but luckily got back on track today. I'm glad that I've at least learned not to eat my pain for too long. Next step - not to eat my pain at all...baby steps...

At my fattest the left side of the driver's seat was getting flattened and crushed under my weight. And it was hard for me to fit my gut behind the steering wheel especially with my short legs and the seat needing to be so far up.

Hi yeah single mom here too and I started dating again for the first time since my divorce 2 years ago. Dating scene is indeed very different. I already fell for someone hard and got burned. Now I'm back on just dating casually. I also want to work on myself and use this time for self-development but honestly it's hard to…

Don't throw all your fitness goals out the window just because you're pregnant. Don't give yourself a license to just eat garbage fooling yourself that you'll just lose weight after the baby. Just redefine your goals. Keep striving for fitness and health.

Same here.

Thundercats - HO! Hell yeah. I loved watching the Price is Right but could only watch it if no school... I think it was on UHF at 1 or something like that.

Sometimes I fall into the all-or-nothing trap too.... I used to be much worse. The main thing I learned is that for me to prevent backsliding, I have to track. Food definitely - and tracked exercise too this past week. It was really eye-opening for me to realize that I really have to eat modestly (for the most part) for…

My stomach. It was never flat to begin with. I lost about 80 lbs but now there's a bunch of loose skin in addition to my c-section paunch. I will probably need surgery too to really fix it.

Many times I'm discouraged from eating greasy food just because I know how crappy it's going to make me feel afterwards. A good thing.
