  • I lost weight on it, but was only on a fairly low dosage, had quite a bit to lose, and was very strict with my diet. I do know people who put on a lot of weight on it. If you're retaining water, might be worth looking at your salt intake. As soneone who has been all sorts of sizes and all sorts of mentally well/unwell, I…
  • Also living in South Wales, Rhondda currently. Originally from the Isle of Man.
  • Cup size is the difference between your back size (measured under the bust) and your bust, so if your back size decreases by 3 inches and your bust by only 1, then you will go up 2 cup sizes.
  • Congrats, that's fantastic! It's always amazing to me to see how people's faces change when they lose weight (and not just because of the smile).
  • People on here are always pretty good at pointing out that calories are calories, doesn't matter where you get them from as long as you take in less than you use. So, theoretically, you could live off wine and chocolate and still lose weight as long as you had fewer calories than your body uses. You'd feel terrible and be…

  • If I move my scale a couple of inches my weight changes by several pounds because my bathroom floor is ever so slightly uneven. I have to make sure I put it in exactly the same place each time. Not sure if it's accurate, but it's at least consistent.
  • I struggle with anxiety and depression too, and I know logically that exercise helps, but I don't really do any. I find that if I take on too much at once then I can become overwhelmed and throw in the towel on all of it, so I'm starting slow. Starting by eating fewer calories and losing weight, once that's not a struggle,…
  • I find that dark chocolate (85% cocoa) gives me the lovely chocolate hit I want but because it's quite bitter it's difficult to binge on, so I can just have one or two small squares. For me, 85% is the sweet spot, below 85% is binge-able, above 85% is not enjoyable.
  • Hey, friend request sent. Happy to be someone on the other end of a daily e-mail.
  • Happy early birthday!!! (Not sure what the time is where you are but it's 1 minute to midnight here)
  • Hey, Freyja here. Been on here a while but not really done the social side of it (because most of it seems to either be screaming CICO at some poor person who asked a slightly misguided question, or ego-stroking bordering on cyber sex. Rant over.). Plus I'm a loner. But here goes. Firstly, we must acknowledge that Cracked…
  • Weigh every morning and log it to MFP whether it's up or down. The daily weigh-ins help keep me on track, even when I'm going way off track. It's the same way that I log my food whether it's a healthy salad or a huge pizza followed by 2 bags of haribo. I need the routine, if I take a break even for a day or two I'm likely…
  • A glass of diluted cordial is about 6-10 calories, so probably nothing to worry about on that side of things. If you're worried about sugar intake, they do have 'no added sugar' varieties. For me, personally, I tend to avoid cordial because I find the sweetness makes me more likely to start craving other sweet things, and…
  • I do something similar, but just use bananas and eggs, no oats, no milk. Approx 2 bananas to 3 eggs. Throw it in a blender, add a little bit of vanilla essence and some cinnamon. Tastes beautiful. (Does need to be blended though or it can egge up more like banana-y scrambled egg, which is less beautiful). Might try them…
  • I have jumped on the 'zoodles' bandwagon - spiralized courgette/zucchini, little bit of oil and lightly fry it. I love sweet potato mashed up, mixed with whatever is around (lentils, grated carrot, mashed beans) and turned into burgers. Again lightly fry. They fall apart a bit, but taste lovely. I suspect that mixing it…
  • I go with daily. I know my weight can fluctuate quite a bit, so if I was doing weekly and happened to weigh myself on a low day one week followed by a high day the next week and saw the scales going up, that would be a bit disheartening. This way I can see the fluctuations and the trends. I am a bit of a data geek though…
  • I went cold-turkey off sugar due to illness - nothing over 5% sugar (even natural sugars for the first month). It was horrible, and I was grumpy and mean and angry. My brain also started trying to trick me. I was good at avoiding obviously sweet things - e.g. sweets, chocolate, fizzy drinks - but I started craving things…
