Don't know if this has been brought up, but I've just started eating Powerful Oatmeal. The banana tastes like laffy taffy to me. Very good.

All restaurants are required to have nutritional info handy if a customer requests it. Just ask to see it.

I agree, shoulders are in front of hands. Should be lower in the hips and that would bring the shoulders back. Correct?

1g per pound of lean body mass, not body weight.

9 times out of 10, back pain from DL is improper form. Here is a good video showing how to deadlift. Hip pain may be from not stretching or warming up well before squatting.

Depends. ;)

Do you feel thirsty, like dry mouth and lips but drink a ton of water? Either the foods you are eating are causing dry mouth or could be something medical.

Forget percentages. 0.8g to 1g of protein per pound of lean mass, 0.3g of fat per pound of body weight, everything else into carbs.

Does he weigh himself before bed or does he eat more after weighing in the evening?

This, and do not drop below 1200 net calories.

Lose fat by eating at a calorie deficit and start a weight lifting plan to maintain muscle.
-
Weigh all solid food in grams and log everything to make sure you aren't going over your calories. If your deficit is good, then keep it up. You'll lose the belly. http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/1161603/so-you-want-a-nice-stomach/p1

I've been making wraps with low carb tortillas and the Starkist Tuna Creations packs. Different flavor every day.

Great job on the weight loss. Remember, you have to take care of you, so you can take care of others. Keep up the good work.

Coke Zero or Cherry Coke Zero.

They load and unload with the forklift don't they? I work at a plant that uses forklifts, none of the operators get off the truck and actually lift anything by hand. Needless to say, most of them are overweight.
-
Forklift operators sit all day, similar to truck drivers. His activity level would be sedentary.
-
Also, make sure you are using a food scale to weigh everything.

It's not safe to lose more than 2lbs a week, so the most you can lose is 24lbs. You're still early in the game so no loss for 2 weeks is normal water retention from starting to work out. I'd take body measurements instead of weighing. Why are you eating so much protein? Seems high to me, but then I don't know your stats.…

Obesity can cause strain and damage to blood vessels in the eyes resulting in problems like cataracts and macular degeneration. I'm not sure if weight loss can improve eyesight without these problems. More likely, it's that you're at that age where normal changes in the eye occur, hardening of the lens and such.

I substitute my apple pie with cherry pie. ;) Just eat the dang pie and keep it within your calorie goal.

I use this. http://www.fat2fittools.com/tools/ibw/

All of them "work" with proper diet and exercise. Probably says so right on the bottle. Probably also says there's risk of liver and kidney damage.

This assumes there is bone and skin on your chicken. Search for boneless, skinless if it applies to you.

You are trying to lose 15lbs on a 25% deficit? That's super aggressive. You may not be eating enough.
-
What's the reason you don't look? Are you trying to lose weight or gain? From personal experience, losing a sibling is one of the most difficult things to go through. You have my sympathy.

I have friends in the military, they don't eat like this. It's a fad diet that's not good for anyone.

I eat 3 meals and 2 or 3 snacks. It keeps me from feeling bloated all day.
