  • You are too kind. If you're even half as exhausted with my questions as I am...I am so sorry!!! I really want to understand. I just want to make sure I'm getting the calories I am supposed to get. If the Fitbit is waaaaay over, fine. If the Apple Watch is way under, fine. I just need to know which one is accurate because…
  • Is this the same way MFP uses exercise information from Fitbit HR?
  • I'm not sure I understand your question. I wear the watch all day. I use the exercise app on the watch to start and end an open walk. I don't use any third party apps except for MFP. I'm really missing my Fitbit. :(
  • Today is my first full day using my Apple Watch. The calorie adjustment is not showing for steps. I double-checked what was mentioned above and all seems fine. Anyone else having issues today?
  • Wow! Nothing?!? Y'all are so quiet compared to the Fitbit boards!
  • Could be diastasis recti. Sit ups and planks can actually make it worse. There's a simple at home test to see if this is your issue. It can be fixed with surgery however, more "gentle" exercises can also help to close the gap.
  • Mine is back to normal now.
  • They seem to be in kahoots now. So I can't set my deficit any greater than half a pound?
  • Thank you for your help. I think I have have it all figured out and then I realize I'm not even close. Haha!
  • MFP gives me 1250 for 0.5lb loss Should I have Fitbit set to personalized or sedentary?
  • 42yo, 5' Started at 165, now 135.9 Goal of 110
  • As far as I can tell they are the same weight, goal, etc. I have both set to lose 1lb a week. MFP gives me 1200 calorie goal and Fitbit gives me 1299. If I eat my calorie adjustment, Fitbit says I'm over.
  • If I eat back my adjustment on MFP, Fitbit says I'm over target.
  • So maybe I don't have Fitbit set correctly anymore. It's consistently saying I'm over target when MFP says I'm at goal or under. When I first started MFP it was spot on with Fitbit, but I didn't have exercise calories turned on and I wasn't eating them back.
  • So do y'all give any consideration to the Fitbit calorie in vs calorie out graph for each day? It tells me I'm over when Fitbit says I'm not. Should I just pay attention to MFP?
  • But the calorie adjustment isn't just my exercise, it's everything throughout the day, right? So just eat back half of the total adjustment? For instance today I walked for an hour but my total steps for the day was over 16,000. My adjustment is over 600, but my actual exercise is less than that.
  • I talked to the nurse today. She suggested coming back to recheck my iron and thyroid, but said taking an additional iron supplement would be beneficial as well. Apparently the 18mg (100% daily) of iron in my daily vitamin is actually a minute amount according to the pharmacist. So, we shall see. Thank you for your advice!…
  • That's the one I don't ever have trouble eating enough of! Haha! Thank you!
  • Thank you! I was hoping to just take an extra iron pill with my vitamin, but I'll ask him about Ferrograd C. Six months seems like forever when you're watching your hair fall out. Lol! Thanks again!
  • I'm going to call my GP again tomorrow and see if he'll check my iron again. Thank you!
  • It was irregular heartbeats, something I've had since a young adult, but was told it was nothing to worry about. New symptoms arose last year and an over eager dr. scared me with her solutions. A second opinion said nothing to worry about and now that I've lost weight and started exercising again, it's pretty much stopped.…
  • Thank you all for your responses! I never would have given iron a second thought.
  • Now that y'all mention it, the dr said my ferritin was low (15) but that I wasn't anemic. He said the iron in a multivitamin would be enough so I started taking one. However, I haven't taken my vitamin during the last month or so...just busy I guess. Ugh!
  • Thank you FabianMommy!
  • Perhaps my posts are not in response to you and only you. Thank you for your input. Have a nice day!
  • .
  • I started at 165 and am now 137. My goal is 110/115.
  • I have no cardiology issues. Long story short, I had a very eager cardiologist and a second opinion ruled out any issues. Furthermore, the reason I saw a cardiologist in the first place has resolved itself since I've lost weight and started exercising. I am not on any prescribed medication. I have lost 28 lbs since the end…
  • I thought she was asking about my thyroid. That's why I mentioned the dr visit. When I started this the end of February, i was at 1200 calories and not eating back my exercise. I know that was a mistake now. Also, looking back at my macros, I was low on protein most of the time too. I have since upped my calories and made…
  • Right before I started my weight loss journey in February, I had a complete blood workup and a visit with my cardiologist. All is well and right were it should be.
