@CatSkull it's called "Nursing Back to Health". I'm still a little nervous that I put myself out there like that, but we'll see how it goes. Thanks for the encouragement.

I built up the courage to start a YouTube channel about my weight loss journey. I love YouTube and it's a hobby I've thought about picking up for a long while, and I finally got brace/confident enough to do it.

Fellow night shifter here. I track from when I wake up til when I go to sleep. I usually pre-log but your diary will let you go back and add things. I figure this way I'm tracking what is a "day" to my body.

Just submitted my application, this sounds like fun!!

I'm also a night shift nurse. It's so hard to balance sometimes, I sleep at the weirdest times on my days off and eating sometimes turns in to a crapshoot. I'm always open to friends who understand the crazy lifestyle, so feel free to add me

Sent requests, thanks guys!

I actually think it's harder to balance food on my days off because I tend to be awake at weird times throughout the day and feel like I eat or want to eat a lot more.
-
I finished level one of the 30 Day Shred. I've never made it past like 3 days.

I would also like the link!

Just requested!

There's a 10,000 step/day week long challenge I bus joined.

I'm in!

I started a 283, currently at 259... Still have a LONG ways to go. Feel free to add me, I'm always happy to add positive people!

Thanks for everyone's input. To be clear, I am doing this for myself. I'm doing this so I don't feel self conscious every time I walk in a room, so I don't have so many back problems at the mere age of 24, to prove to myself I CAN do this. But I'd be lying if I said being single and not happy about it has nothing to be…

I never wear pants. I wear scrubs for work and on my days off I wear comfy exercise type shorts and dresses/skirts because they're so comfortable. Last night I was going out with friends and put a pair of tight jeans on. Last time I wore them I had to lay down to button them and they were honestly pretty uncomfortable.…

I work night shift. Still trying to find a healthy routine. I sleep at the weirdest times. Feel free to add me for support

I was visiting a friend about 45 minutes away from my house. I left right around 12:30 and was pretty stinking hungry. While I was still at her house I decided I'd stop at the McDonalds and get something calorie friendly to eat when I left (I had my mind on some fries for sure though). When I pulled up to McDonalds I…

I also work night shift and am trying to figure out how I want to log. As of now, I've been logging all that I eat in one of my days in the same day on the journal. Once I sleep, a new day starts.

One of my co-workers brought in a huge pan of chocolate chip cookies. She makes the bestest most buttery and delicious cookies. In the past I would have had 4-5 over the 12 hour shift. I only had ONE! Doesn't mean I didn't think about it every time I walked by them.

Thanks for all the input! I'm torn on what to do. My Fitbit calories go on the day, so maybe I'll keep it like that. But I really hate logging two half days in to one :/

I went grocery shopping! I pre-portioned out my fruits and veggies, already grilled and cut a few chicken breasts so I can easily throw them in a salad or eat them as is... Baby steps. Lol.
-
The grocery shopping isn't the issue as much as doing things with the groceries once I buy them and them not going to waste lol. I looked in to the meal delivery services, you know the ones where they'll send you all the pre-portioned ingredients right to your door and supposedly you can easily cook a meal... But they are…
-
That would be helpful... If I actually went to the grocery store. I'm trying to get back on track and have big plans to grocery shop after I sleep today.

Thanks for all the tips. I work 3 or 4 12s a week (anyone that is a nurse or works healthcare knows that that easily translates in to 13+ hour shifts). My problem is on my days in between I sleep and nothing else. I'll sleep from like 8-4, then get up and get ready for work. I do nothing productive, including packing a…

Thanks for all the pointers! I'm just having a hard time. I've been on nights since mid-April and feel like I still haven't found my groove in life. I sleep at weird times and have a hard time getting things done cuz I'm wide awake in the middle of the night--not a good time to run errands. And my eating has gone downhill…

Hi there! Also a nurse, but I'm a newbie, I've only been a nurse for about 2 months. Im from Arizona. I work in ICU. It's hard to pick one specific patient, mainly because I'm still pretty new and haven't had a lot of experiences. The patient's who really inspire me are those who come in to the ICU really sick--the ones…

I'm a nurse, would love more friends who understand the 12 hour shifts and not being able to snack or eat more than once or twice. Feel free to add me!

Adding you all, thank you for the support!

I'm also hopping back up on the band wagon. Adding you!
