You may be replacing fat with muscle. A good thing

No set mealtimes for me. I eat little and often. When I'm at work I take lunch but just pick at it throughout the day. A full meal makes me feel bloated.

Lots of Keto/low carbers add butter and and coconut oil to their morning brew. Gets them through the morning.

A trick I learnt whilst working for a weight loss company was to have a Chromium tablet everyday at 3pm. It kills cravings for about 3 hours and holds you through till dinner time. Other than that you can have a protein rich snack at 4pm. That might reduce cravings.

I've had this problem before too. This time I've upped my protein and fat and no hair loss.

It's a wake up call

What a positive thread.

So true!

Wow. What amazing truth. Getting honest with ourselves is the first step to improving ourselves. But first we have to recognise our problems. I had a friend who always did amazing well at school, her parents were so supportive, and encouraging. She had this incredible self confidence. She was a high achiever. She is a CEO…

I'm with you jr1985. Losing weight can be pretty daunting at times but with help from all your MFP friends you can do it.

Add me too. We all need support in this journey.

I say to myself 'I don't really want that because I already know what it tastes like'. It seems to work most of the time.

Just wondering about the pink Himalayan salt. Is it better than regular salt? Or is it just preference?

I eat my three protein packed meals per day along with vegies and dairy. I rarely feel hungry and my sugar cravings are low. If I feel I must have something sweet I eat a bit of dried fruit.

I started on Keto 8 weeks ago. Now 9 k down. (19.8 lb)Very easy to do. I've just adopted it as my way of life, and don't think about it. I weigh myself everyday but only record the loses. Just waiting for my latest blood work results. I've had fatty liver and that frightens me, so hopefully my LDL will be low and my HDL…

I went to WW a few times in the past. It is good, you absolutely do lose weight. But. You've got to go to ALL the meetings, pay your money (and it's not cheap), sit there for ages listening to dribble, then everyone watches you get weighed. MFP is so much more convenient and I've had much better success. In the end it's…

Don't just eat anything. Choose something low carb. Do you body a favor. Steer away from high sugar foods. Eat some protein. It's filling and kills sugar cravings.

Almost immediately. From day one.
-
Why don't you have your usual carb day with her and one on the weekend.
-
Isn't it nice to know your body has turned into a fat burning machine. The pic is amazing. I can really see the difference.

I started out at 75k (165 pounds). My goal is 60k (132 pounds). I'm currently down 8.3k in 8 weeks. So over halfway. I'm doing LCHF, and so far no problems. Very happy

I don't do structured excercise routines but lose the weight easily. I found the more weight I lose the more I feel like being more active.
-
You're on the wrong diet. You should never be hungry on a diet. Eat more protein and fat and less carbs. See how you go
-
Good on you. I feel the same about it. Its just no problem. So so easy. I never feel hungry and no sugar cravings. I also feel I can do this long term without feeling like I'm on a diet. It's just a better way of eating. My weight loss has been effortless. 8 kg in 8 weeks. Having some blood work done tomorrow, but feeling…

You look so much younger and fresher. You look like your own daughter!
-
Hi Mary. You can add me too. I also reached a crossroad and decided to make some changes. I'm really happy on a LCHF diet, losing weight and doing well. It makes me happy.
-
Maybe you should stop going on a 'diet', and start thinking of it as your new eating regime. You have to get your head in the right place. Mentally 'start again'. Remember when you were at your slimmest. Find a thin photo and put it on the fridge. Maybe you could try Low Carb High Fat. It's filling and satisfying. You…

I have a friend who is exactly the same. In the end I didn't discuss my diet or weight loss with her at all. I realised she was treating it like a threat. If she mentioned it I steered away from the subject. But I stuck to my diet like glue. It's great to have support from friends, and you'll need it, but not all friends…
