If your goals are health and not just weight loss, then, yes, having them frequently could interfere with your goals. If your goal is weight loss, you can make it work through calorie planning.

You can adjust the percentages in your profile... I just don’t worry about it. It tells me daily that I have had too many carbs.

I am a creature of habit, I like simplicity. I tend to rotate between a few things: smoothies (kale, fruit, fresh ginger and flax seeds), oatmeal with blueberries and flax or avocado toast on Ezekiel bread. Sometimes on the weekends I make pancakes (topped with hot blueberries, mmmm) or bananas muffins. I got on a kick for…

I use mine almost daily. I am vegetarian and use it to cook beans, rice, soups, etc.

I like white beans (great northern beans) with red sauce.

First, I would see an allergist and get yourself tested and an EpiPen. As for the nuts, not all tree nuts are related. Walnuts and pecans tend to go together (in terms of allergies), pistachio and cashew. Almond are kind of a lone wolf. It is common to be allergic to many tree nuts and not allergic to almond. My son is PN…

I’m 5’2” and about 250lbs, I was down to 191 once and injured my hip and got back up to 264..... on my way back down :). My diary is open to friends. I am vegan - I have several AI conditions that bother me less when I avoid animal products :)

-Diced and added to a salad -On toasted Ezekiel bread with S&P, cilantro, diced red onion and cucumbers -As dressing - basically thinned guac -On top of black bean soup

See your endo if it is Hashimoto’s ( which is an AI condition) and make sure you get your meds balanced, it could take awhile to get things figured out (do blood tests every 3 months while figuring things out). I have done much better on Armour Thyroid (which is actually pig thyroid) than on the synthetics. Also, I have…

I am WFPB, based on my height I should get about 42g of protein a day. The calculation of what you need is 0.37g per pound of body weight @ your ideal weight. If you are trying to lose weight you would calculate based on your goal weight not current weight. I rarely miss my protein target, I eat about 1.5 cups of beans per…

Whole Foods plant based works for me. It gives me the variety I like and is not difficult for me to stick with. I don’t like meat and dairy doesn’t like me, lol

Frozen blueberries and cinnamon. I cook it with the blueberries. It turns a beautiful purple :)

OMG, I loved Deal a Meal, lol I use an app now that reminds me of it, I like having a quick visual reference of the foods I need to eat :)

I’m not a fan of tofu, if I am doing a stir fry I use beans - white beans or chickpeas. I also blend white beans in place of tofu for sauces (may have to add water to thin). If you are baking tofu, I would make cauliflower steaks instead. I don’t like veganized meats, so if I want a burger I just make my own black bean…

Breakfast bowl: raw oats, sunflower seeds, banana, pomegranate, grapefruit sections, minced kale and almond milk I made this soup up using what I had in hand: “Sauté” red onion and sliced baby portabellas, carrots in broth until soft. Add turmeric, toss to coat, add 3 cups blonde veggie stock add 1-2 cup chickpeas and a…

For me, dairy consumption causes my PF and joint pain to flare up. I know this, yet I often go back to dairy (because, hello - cheese, lol) and then within a few days I am limping and having to hold on to railings and walls just to walk or go down stairs. I stopped all dairy (again) on Monday and my PF and joint pain are…

I buy 50lb bags of dry beans and 25lb bags of rice (the instant pot cooks dry beans in 35 minutes without pre-soaking!). I also like to have a variety of hot sauces  nutritional yeast, miso, raw sunflower seeds and almonds, good balsamic, chili pepper vinegar, imagine's "no-chicken" low sodium veggie broth - a…

I typically have either a smoothie (kale, flax seeds, blueberries, strawberries, mango and pineapple) and a nub of ginger or oatmeal with flax seeds and blueberries. Occasionally, I'll have avocado toast - mmmmmmmmm!

Thank you. I do think that my previous weight loss, as well as my thyroid disease contributes to this. I am thankful that my gallbladder is not inflamed and I can put surgery aside for now. Good Luck to you too! It sound like you are doing well so far!!
