Thanks for the advice, tips and personal experiences guys. Please keep em coming. I feel more determined this time, it's the first time I've felt unhealthy with my weight and gone into the obese category and that scares me.

I like the idea of banking exercise cals for the weekend! Two slightly higher days followed by a lower intake on Mondays would probably work well.

Sometimes on a Monday I don't feel like eating much and I often feel good if I have a lower day eating. My stats are 5ft 4 SW 187 CW 147 female Desk job Exercise 3 times a week across strength and cardio

My stats are 5ft 4 187lbs GW 140 TDEE 2100 I eat at 1400 and on run days I eat back half my Kcals. Is this correct?

Maybe it's best I Pop the scale away and just go by clothes and how I feel.

My initial reaction as I felt disheartened was to not bother running and just lose the weight. When I have 3 stone to lose it seems crazy I am putting on the 2nd week but I now understand thanks to the explanations above. How long does it take to settle?

Thank you for your replies. I know a few people who have done very well on it and felt great too. I don't have lots to use so am happy for a slow and steady loss. on non fast days I would be looking at about 1700 Kcals. I may try eating back my excercise cals on non fast days for the first two weeks to see how it goes.

Does anyone save exercise cals up for the weekend? I was thinking about saving them M-F and then allowing a slightly higher cal intake sat and Sun. Anyone had experience with this?

I am in exactly the same boat as you. I in fact have put on 2lb! but my pics show a different story. It is so frustrating! but I guess we have to keep going and eventually it has to show on the scales, especially when you have 2 stone to lose. Do you eat back your exercise cals now? or not? I am trying not to this week and…
