  • Zumba is a blast. I do it 4-6 times a week. I also do a circuit training type class that i'm learning to not hate if that counts.
  • Thanks to this thread, I'm having baked potatoes with turkey chili for dinner. Thanks!!
  • Sugar Snap peas. I can have a plate of those with nothing else and be quite satisfied.
  • I log everything but there's a lot of stuff that I don't bother to weigh out on my scale. Veggies, frozen burger patties, microwaveable meals. I log them all from either eyeballing (veggies) or based on the packaging for packaged stuff. For me, that's what I use my exercise calories for, taking care of the potential…
  • This was my last week of daily weigh ins. From Sunday to Wed I "gained" 2.2 lbs but by the next sunday, I was down 0.7 lbs from my sunday weight. I did not stress at all about the bump in weight because I know that fluctuations happen. I know I had not binged and was eating within my calorie allowance. Trust the process.…
  • @76Crane76 They have a thai sweet chili one which is really good and a quinoa cowboy burger that I haven't tried. Oooh and the vegetable masala burger, I haven't bought that one in a while but it's fantastic if you like indian flavors.
  • None of us here are on the biggest loser. It's not a race to lose the most weight in the shortest amount of time. It's about being able to get healthy for the decades of life we have left. If it takes two years to get to your goal instead of one, so what? The important thing is doing it in a sustainable way that you can…
  • @sofchak you've just changed my life. Why had I never thought of doing a zucchini hasselback style? I'm making this tonight! Thank you
  • I am a huge fan of the Morningstar Farms Grillers PRIME burgers. They are really tasty. Trader Joe's makes a Tomato Basil Pizza Veggie burger that tastes great. I also love the original gardenburger cooked up to be really crispy on the outside.
  • Down in Long Beach, CA. Feel free to add.
  • Great job!!! Thanks for sharing your success!
  • I'm a 5'3, 193.7 lb, 36 year old female. I've lost 25.4 lbs since mid April and I've got another 55ish lbs to lose. MFP has me at 1420 cals a day for 1 lb a week weight loss. I try to get that to 1.5 through adding in exercise. My weekdays are all pretty similar. Breakfast - 40 grams of oatmeal, 15g slivered almonds, 15g…
  • My go to protein snack is 1 cup of Greek yogurt, pb2, some fruit and a squirt off Crystal light liquid. Comes out to about 27g of protein and about 200 calories depending on what fruit I use.
  • I just started a circuit training class a couple weeks ago. I'm doing it twice a week so far. It's been really good and a great intro to the types of exercises I should do. Wanting to improve at the class is helping to push me to work on different skills on my off days from the class. I'm sure it's all very dependent on…
  • Ask him to go on walks with you on his days off. Even a stroll around the neighborhood will be good for him at his weight. My bf and I started walking together every evening and it's a great time for us to connect with each other and get some activity in.
  • My TJ's shopping list had gotten a whole lot bigger thanks to this thread!
  • I'm very close. I've lost 25 as of today and have another 55 to lose. Feel free to add me!
  • I'm all about the double cream gouda and the cambazola. ::::drool:::
  • Oooh, I almost forgot about the dark chocolate caramel wedges. I wedge is like 35 calories and it's the perfect size and richness and delicious amazingness that I generally just have one before bed and I'm super satisfied. I'm going to have to try the almonds.
  • Mine was when I went for my first ever facial and was asked as part of the consultation, how much water do you drink a day? My answer was none. Zero. I existed on energy drinks and coke. I knew how to lose weight, I knew that how I was eating and drinking was unhealthy but the embarrassment of having to tell someone I…
  • I love that salad dressing! One of my favorites. May need to pick some up today along with usmcmp's ghost pepper chips. Trader joe's is in the same shopping center as my gym. It turns out to be pretty good incentive for hitting the gym. :)
  • @usmcmp How hot are those chips? They intrigue me and I like spicy but not blow your head off spicy.
  • Except what he's saying is that why pay for crossfit when you're just working on the goal to be able to get to 80%? Spend less money at a normal gym to build up endurance and stamina so you can join crossfit when you can do 80% intensity. If we're having him "scale" to only 60% intensity then is he REALLY doing crossfit?…
  • Most accurate way would be to weigh the marinade beforehand and weigh it again after you take the meat out. The difference would be what got absorbed into your meat.
  • I use a LOT of convenience products from Trader Joe's. One of my go to quick meals is frozen roasted potatoes with peppers and onions (6 min), frozen mahi mahi burger (10 min) topped with pesto, and some sauteed sugar snap peas (5 min). Works out to about 400 cals and it takes about 15 min max from start to eat.
  • I second @heartsandhearts suggestion. Overnight oats sound perfect for your situation. You can make up multiple at once too and have them in the fridge waiting. I used to do 3 a time, sunday nights and wednesday nights. Takes a couple minutes and I'm set with a filling delicious breakfast for days. I have this printed out…
  • You are working very hard to try to come up with a way to exercise, how about putting that effort into finding a way to eat 1300-1400 calories? You will not get the weight off getting some exercise in here and there. You will get it off through calorie reduction. You're willing to walk around in 100 degree weather, but you…
  • Grab a scale, it'll be a huge help moving forward. As for upping your calories, you can make small changes to add cals. Use some full fat salad dressing on your veggies or some balsamic vinaigrette with olive oil, use oil when cooking your chicken, have a small handful of nuts, buy full fat yogurt instead of the low fat,…
  • Do you have a food scale, and if so are you weighing everything you eat? A lot of your entries are identical, like the 4 oz of tyson chicken. Normally there should be fluctuations in the weights. If you aren't weighing food, you are probably eating more than you think you are.
