Im using the backpack to get my stuff to and from work, not for work (:

You said that the calories burned for an excercise are not influenced by the HR/bpm but the distance covered and are thus the same for that distance no matter the way of traveling or the implicated HR. With the car as an example. (or I missunderstood something you said earlier)
-
But this contradicts your earlier statement that calories burned regardless of HR will be the same for any given distance walked? And the axample made of a good and bad day. My actual real life example would be, Im taking a walk on every day off. Always the same distance but depending on my shape on that day and the…

Oh ok just saw all the other answers, thanks a ton! Tbh I was hesitant to even get the garmin device at first cause I thought it might be wasted money but it motivated and helped me a great deal and Ill go to my local running store tommorow for a pair of shoes! I currently got mens Nike Tanjun which I bought for walking.…

@MobyCarp thanks a lot! I didnt quote as I didnt want that wall of text to be copied! Ill try the singing thing I guess, since Im listening to music with my arm strap/phone thing anyways! Hmm I already guessed Im going too fast :( but I wanted to be sure. Ill try to go slower today but I didnt actually feel like I was…

I averaged at 80% according to the recorded activity (: (zone 4) And yeah I want to get running shoes pretty soon but yknow I dont wanna spend 100-200 on quality running shoes before I even tried it once or twice and feel comfortable about going through with it!

@rainbowbow Im really just trying to wrap my head around the whole thing of HR not having as much impact as I thought and I read through the first research paper about Vo2max you posted. But as far as I understand it, it just states that vo2max is the most accurate method, which is repeated in the paper Ill link but…

Huge difference judging from the picture! But yeah I know the feeling of "nothing has changed" - had that after my 20kg so I took a break and maintained for 8months and then started at it again, full of motivation. Now Im on my last 4kg. Diet breaks/Maintaining can be really good to get a short break from reducing cals and…

Its not any specific type of fook (like fast food) that makes you gain weight. Its eating more calories than you use, which people can severly underestimate. Even "healthy" and nutritious foods can be dense in calories! Thats why the first thing asked is always if people use a food scale and log everything (: Like others…

sorry off-topic-ish but I got my vivosmart HR connected to MFP and it adds my excercise calories, but I consistently get more than 10k per day. If I set my activity level to active (currently on sedentary), wouldnt MFP just up my calories and then still add the ones that garmin records?

Altough more time at the gym is spent lifting, I do 30-35min of cardio as well since I want to build up some general endurance and do it for the health benefits more so than the weight loss. Also if my arms are still spaghettis anyways might as well get my knees weak too

Tbh I cut it out at first, then noticed it was just really weighing me down because I was in the same boat as you. So instead of Soda I started snacking instead - wasnt good at first. Then just switched to diet. Still drinking Coke zero/Light cause I feel like its still the lesser evil. Even started drinking red bull…

I did a "diet break" for about 8months +/- not counting but basically eating at maintenance. Now come spring again I started it back up. As long as youre eating youre not eating a deficit or surplus you could do a diet break every 2 weeks and it wouldnt matter, would just slow everything down but thats not neccessarily…

I dont log (anymore) Logging helped a lot and in a way Im still mentally logging and basically just putting random stuff in here for an easier comparison when it comes to macros. Logging helps a great deal to learn the caloric worth of food and their macros, which doesnt mean nutrition a lot of times. But it teaches you to…

@seska442 Exactly my feelings! For me its usually an indicator if I need to drink more, or TOMs around the corner. I do it first thing in the morning but I dont worry about it as I never really stalled longer than a week before a fe grams moved. Then again I also took a 8month break to maintain and not count or weigh which…

Buttermilk and fruits/veggies usually when at work, Im a real slow eater and having an actual meal stresses me the hell out at work (yeah 30min is long but I cant relax to enjoy my food at work). At home, usually leftover dinner/salad but almost always a cold dish, just because personal preference.
-
Look up your favourite veggies, most are quite low in cals. Not free but low and usually healthy! (:

Thanks - a lot - Im tired and quite stupid it seems haha. Seriously thank you! Used to love tuna now my digestive system is not playing along (tried 3 times) and Im trying to cooperate eggs and natural occuring proteins but I slack when it comes to cooking, so I thought about trying shakes (:
-
58/42/47 protein/carbs/fat rounded the % a little but yeah currently thats also not even 1200 as I worked nightshift only got up a few hours ago and will go to bed soon-ish. Maybe a bad example day but my mother is going low carb so expected carbs for an additionally dinner wouldnt pump it up by too much and probably…

Suddendly almost all non padded seats are really uncomfortable Most clothes look super baggy Im cold a lot more But the positives still outweigh that by at least 28kg B)
-
MFP works on percentage afaik. Like 1% of body weight each week or so, thus it automatically slows down your calories. Just my thought tho, could be wrong here! (:

I think we got a really cheap no-name brand scale. Still works, doesnt need to be super hi-tech but ofc can be if that something that motivates you! (I shall not talk as falf my room is full of PC related stuff) Try not to be afraid of the scale, its just showing you whats there but that doesnt define you! For me the scale…

Lost a cup size .. somewhat. With H&M bras both 80C or 85B work for me, lost almost 30kg at this point and used to be at 85C. But they did shrink as theres quite a bit loose skin now ._.

Thanks for all your answers! Main reason of asking was to determine if my dry hands are caused by water intake or washing too much. Since with sodas and coffee my liquid intake is somewhat over 2liters, I guess I need to get some less aggressive soaps. No but seriously its good to hear, one of the things you tend to always…

I weigh daily and tbh every somewhat grams are a small success! But I do also know if I didnt lose, why that happened and it doesnt discourage me. Im also not an emotional eater so it doesnt bother. Longterm success usually trying on clothes that had been a little tight or too small (actually just did that with a dress, it…

I set my pretty low on the "normal" range altough tbh looking at all the belly and legs I still have to lose I might go there. Pretty much just sticked to a round number at the bottom of the normal bmi but once I feel alright with it (even if its not the 60kg) Ill probably stop.
-
Peanut butter as well. Had some dental stuff going on and couldnt chew, ate a whole jar of peanut butter in a day. Now its 16g and not more! :(

Hit my normal bmi some while ago but still aiming to lower the weight. Never really tried diets because I was a depressed slobby thing hanging at my pc 24/7 but I was glad to find the mfp forums once I got into losing weight! Altough I lost weight purely through diet and not so much activity, I guess once I go down just a…
