When I started using it, I was concerned about the same thing. It does the same to mine. From what I understand, it converts your calories to some kind of point system. I'm not sure I get it, but in the end, it ends up being correct. Fitbit calculates your calories and workouts logged in MFP onto the fitbit site, and the…

Thank you! I personally, I think you are doing a fantastic job. Speaking from experience, going slower is soooo MUCH BETTER than trying to lose 2 lbs a week. I think the only reason why it even worked this time for me is because of all my previous failed attempts -- and I'm going to work very hard to keep that weight off.…

That's more or less the way I do it, too -- I try to use a balanced approach to my meal planning. I want to enjoy my meals, of course, but I want to make sure I plan ahead on how to make the meal fit my "calorie budget".

I was very surprised to see how well-documented many items are on MFP, and on many, many cooking/recipe sites (which can be imported into MFP to help keep track of items). This made me better at logging - and it really, really made a huge difference. This attempted weight loss is my THIRD attempt - and this is one of the…

I am the same way and weigh myself daily - actually with multiple scales (because of calibration issues, they vary - by as much as a pound). I do it as soon as I wake up, no clothes, pre-breakfast - because weight goes up right afterwards. This morning (Saturday) I weighed 136.2 -- but it will be up to 2 lbs heavier…

You're losing more than you think - don't worry! Measuring and weighing is almost as important as jounaling to me. I track it on a dry erase calendar (and Google calendar) to help me keep track -and ir keeps me motivated. I really love MFPs tools because it lets you keep track online. But seeing the results on a measuring…

Thanks! Feeling great. Looking forward to hitting maintenance mode next month -- I'm going to keep on exercising (because I've always loved it -- from my younger days) and getting healthy. I am going to make 135 my goal weight and hold onto that until New Years.

Are you getting any radhes or skin reaction to it? How long do you wear it before taking it off? I didn't have problems but found that I shouldn't sleep with mine - So I only wear it during the active parts of my day - It comes off by dinner and charges overnight. I log my sleep manually now. I'm concerned about the EMF…

I'm losing weight at about the same weight and had the same concerns - I've lost 47 lbs so far (20 more to go). I changed my BMR a few times - which is why I finally got a fitbit, to figure out EXACTLY where my activity level is. I've been losing 2 lbs wk/10 lbs/mo, also -- and I was concerned about the stomach growling…
