I'm the same height. I put 5'3" and to lose 1lb/week. You don't need to lose 2lbs/week at this weight. I'm 138 and trying to get to 127. I put lightly active and I log all my exercise and eat some of my calories back. I usually eat between 1300-1400 cal/day. I make sure I leave some calories to account for possible logging…

I just started this in January. I put in that I wanted to lose 1lb/week, logged every bite of food, logged my exercise, stayed under my calories every day and I've lost over 1lb/week for 17 weeks in a row. It can be that simple.

I actually think MFP underestimates the workouts I enter based on other data
-
I eat back only some of exercise calories and I always go off of Runkeeper or my calibrated machine and not what MFP says.
-
What MFP is giving you is not your BMR. MFP is giving you a calorie amount based on your activity and goals. Very different. I'm 5'3", 138 and want to lose about 1lb/week. MFP gives me about 1300cal/day without exercise.
-
Sure. I'm losing 1lb/week or more. Feel free.
-
Started at 154, now at 138. People notice after the first 10lbs.

I have found the best route with Mexican is fajitas minus the tortillas (or just eat one). No beans. Limit your chips and salsa.
-
The workouts aren't too aggressive but the calorie restriction can be. Keep walking. Log those calories and eat 50-75% of them back.
-
I'm not exactly sure what you are saying but MFP is designed for you to eat back at least some of your exercise calories.
-
A calorie deficit. Go with the number MFP gives you.

I felt the same way. Then I started logging my calories and realized sodas just wouldn't fit. I started using lemonade packets in bottled water and haven't looked back.

I think it will get easier as you lose weight but I have a hard time running on a treadmill at any weight. I would much rather run outside.

People wanting to shed a few kilos should ignore the oldest dieting rule and skip breakfast, as there is no proof that scoffing eggs, toast, porridge and fruit first thing will prevent overeating later in the day. Doctors have long encouraged people to consume roughly a third of their daily calories in the morning to keep…

I just eat sugar. I'm tired of diets that restrict my sweet cravings. I just have a piece of dark chocolate or a Fiber One brownie.
-
I have MFP set to lose 1lb/week and I have lost 1lb/week for 16 weeks straight. Yes, it works.
-
I just noticed major changes this month. Amazing what losing 10% of my body weight has done.
-
Then don't call it that. I'm not on a diet. I log my food and keep it below maintenance to lose weight but I can eat what I want.
-
Are you logging your food?
-
A thinner body, more money, more stuff, etc will not make you happy. This is something that you need to turn inward to figure out.
-
That's a decent comparison. I prefer them like this http://www.thehappierhomemaker.com/2016/01/charleston-style-shrimp-and-grits-recips/

I drink so much more water when I use them. I was using the Crystal Light packets but I just ordered these because I'm not a fan of artificial sweeteners: http://www.amazon.com/True-Lemon-Assorted-Beverage-Pack/dp/B00KSLBWJ4/ref=sr_1_9_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1461007877&sr=8-9&keywords=true+lemon+packets

I like late night breakfast. My go-to is a toasted english muffin with cream cheese and a hard boiled egg. Totally makes me full for 260 calories.
-
I agree it sounds like you have been eating closer to maintenance. Clean eating is great but it won't move the scale. I could eat 1300 cal in Oreos and lose more weight than you if I am eating a calorie deficit. Where did you get your numbers from?
-
Please don't let it be chocolate
-
It seems like my LI kids have no problem with yogurt and cheese. Only straight milk. I wonder if the cooking process reduces the lactose?
-
I guess I shouldn't be surprised if it is dairy. I have 4 lactose intolerant kids...ironically we even adopted a LI kid from China. I did switch some face products to that complicates narrowing it down. I'm currently only used a Purpose bar soap to cleanse and a Eucerin light moisturizing/sunscreen lotion.
-
I haven't cut all dairy but I probably don't eat as much. I am eating some yogurt and ice cream.
-
I do. I eat back some but not all of my exercise calories. I have mine set to lose 1lb/week and lightly active and get 1300.
