It's a normal occurance and nothing you've done "wrong". I recommend taking measurements to use as comparison when the scale doesn't move. It can be very depressing and sap your motivation to see no progress. I've yet to be disappointed with the measurements when the scale hates me :) (To be clear, I don't measure at all…

I have lost 51% of my total goal as of this morning.... so far I've gone from a 3X to XL. First time I've purchased anything in a store not specialized in plus size clothing in 11 years.

Woohoo!!! Congratulations!!!! Keep up the awesome work!

SW: 268 CW: 207 GW: 145 Almost there too....and half way to goal!

I do intermittent fasting. 16 hours of fasting and an 8 hour eating window. Helps a lot in my opinion. I once fasted a whole day because when my eating window rolled around I wasn't hungry. I don't do it often though.

By switching to this WOE and eating more fat and protein than carbs I naturally eat fewer calories because I stay full longer. Some days I go over calories by a hundred or so and I don't sweat it because the average is under. I wouldn't say that calories don't matter at all though.

Good morning! I stopped my IF routine and upped my carbs for the holidays as well. Ready, willing, and able to kick it back into gear! CW: 210 GW for Jan: 199 GW for 2017: 135

The only way to know the true cause is to have the stones analyzed by a nephrologist, otherwise it's just guess work on the Dr's part.

From what I understand, when you first start keto your body produces too many ketones and your body excretes them through your urine. To flush them your body produces the oily stuff you see. Once you adapt it will make the right amount of ketones and it should clear up. As a borderline diabetic it is important to note…

@cabwj Wooooohooooo! Congrats!

The ketogenic way of eating has helped two of my diabetic relatives. I am eating a keto diet for weight loss purposes as well. There is a forum just for low carb here and they have stuff just for diabetics in there as well. Let me know if you are interested and I will have a moderator send you a link to join. Here are a…

Thank you @mariecela_moulin. The BL challenge was good for my motivation, but people don't really talk to each other. I was hoping for more of that with this group. Also, I want my mom to join :)

One of my favorite on hand snacks is bacon and cream cheese stuffed pepperoncinis. Here is a link to the recipe (I skip the shallots and use uncured bacon) http://allrecipes.com/recipe/16929/stuffed-pepperoncini/

It is going to depend. Some snap back faster than others. You could do a 16-24 hour fast which would jump start the adjustment. Intermittent Fasting (IF) is a big part of this WOE for some people. There is much data and research on it. When feeling stressed comfort food does help...but you CAN make LCHF comfort food....…

Okay beautiful ladies... early favor time... please send a friend request to my mama (she is having a hard time navigating the boards) Her MFP name is @SharonHoney55. She needs some friendly support as well ❤️ Thank You!!

Holy WOW! Awesome job :) I have added all of you ladies that I'm not already friends with. (Hi @kaneorla!) I started two months ago at 268 and am working my way down to 135. I freely admit I'm doing LCHF because it is the only WOE that keeps me from binge eating....but I will be friends with anyone in our situation doing…

I struggle with working out regularly as well, but like @rsclause said...knocking it out first thing has helped me greatly. The past two weeks I have gotten my workouts in first thing, making it impossible to excuse my way out of it. I joined an ab challenge and have an app for the C25K program that also help. Tracking…

Hi @enfolium, I have sent you a friend request as well. We all need all the encouragement we can get!

You could always switch to a treadmill workstation. Walk slowly while you work and kick it up once or twice a day for cardio. There are more and less expensive ones on the market....but check this one out…

Calories aren't everything but they do matter. Eating LCHF should fill you up and keep you satisfied with fewer calories. I go by the calories MFP gave me for losing 2lb per week. I never even get close. Here is an old, but good article:…

What do you typically eat in a day or week? Low carb doesn't have to mean low flavor. You can do lots of things...a special treat for me is pork rind chicken strips. Parmesan Talapia is another fav. It is easy to make and delicious...paired with cauliflower mash it's a perfect meal.
