  • The cherry eclipse flavor was delicious! Nice cherry base, plenty of chocolate chips and cherries. Also, this one has monk fruit extract instead on stevia, so no aftertaste for me.
  • Haha, do they? I didn’t read all of the label... haven’t been to bed yet but doubt it will do anything with my sleep! It was tasty though 🙂
  • My first time seeing this brand of light ice cream... nightfood. Really liked it! This one was a maple flavored ice cream with pieces of waffles. Could have had more waffle pieces but can’t have it all when trying to be light :) It’s one of the better light ice creams I’ve had. Will be trying their “cherry eclipse” flavor…
  • New to me, Finaflex’s Oatmeal Protein Pie... tastes good, has a nice texture and the cream filling is tasty. It is sweetened with Stevia so has that aftertaste that I am not so keen on (know others prefer Stevia, so may be a bonus for you). I liked having something different among all the protein bars and cookies. Will get…
  • I usually drink 3 bottles of diet soda a day and have done so for decades (before gaining 240+ pounds, during my weight loss of all those pounds, and now in maintenance for the last couple years).
  • Unfortunately it's not that easy for some like me... I am seeing a psychologist about my issues with binging and have made significant progress using cognitive behavioral therapy. But it has taken a lot more that just stopping myself when I feel that way. One of the several behaviors we have worked on was to work in more…
  • Thanks, will give them a try. I get so deflated when I sit down to a freezer burnt pint! Seems to happen often for me... I’ve started taking a cooler with me to the grocery store
  • Has anyone ordered ice cream from "icecreamsource.com"? I am thinking of ordering a bunch of the Enlightened flavors I can never seem to find in the stores near me. How was your experience? Did the pints arrive OK (i.e. not melted or refrozen)?
  • My guess on the next big trend will be genotype diets (matching your DNA to a specific diet plan).
  • I think they are available to everyone now... just saw that they have them at my local Vitamin Shoppe.
  • I use to binge every few weeks as well. I would constantly fantasize about all the food I wanted to eat on my next "day off" from logging and when that day came around I went crazy. I binged until I felt sick - sometimes making me take off work the next day to recover from the episode. I knew how to lose weight (lost over…
  • He is a Brit who got his start in American television on The Daily Show with John Stewart. He now has his own comedy news show on HBO called Last Week Tonight which has won multiple Emmys. Oh, and he was the voice of Zazu in the remake of The Lion King.
  • Not sure where you are but if in the U.S., was this from your primary care doctor or a doctor at one of those weight loss "clinics"? If the latter those clinics often push B-12 injections as some kind of miracle serum...
  • I always value your posts @lemurcat2 and appreciate the time and effort you take to do so. I am guessing the woo-stalkers will just become "disagree" stalkers once the change is made. Haters gonna hate! :/
  • Not eating in front of the television. I no longer snack and I obsess about food much much less. It has also helped me enjoy my food more and my hunger cues seem to be actually working. This change was the single most important habit I have learned that has completely stopped my binging.
  • Yeah, this is a big frustration for me... I lost over 240 pounds and currently am about 13% body fat but you wouldn't know looking at me. I DO look like a deflated balloon :( Your skin can tighten up some as mentioned above and mine has a little over the last 2 years - but not near as much as I hoped. I'm considering…
  • I looked at their nutrition information online and - yikes! Definitely NOT low calorie... The red velvet keto has 720 calories per a pint compared to 280 in the regular. Looks to be similar for the other flavors as well. My only interest in Enlightened, Halo Top, et al., is that they have low calories. Obviously these are…
  • I don't think they make the PB&J anymore (haven't seen it in the store and it isn't listed on their website)... I never tried that one so I guess I missed out!
  • I like the chocolate donut flavor but feel their birthday cake is superior if you are going for one with a coating. My absolute favorite is still the blueberry muffin flavor. If you don't mind a little less protein their Hero bars are the tastiest IMO.
  • Actually the USDA listing for "Crustaceans, shrimp, mixed species, raw (may contain additives to retain moisture)" (15149) does show some carbs... 1.02 in 112g (serving size of the label you shared). Since the product you shared has additives this listing is probably more accurate then the aforementioned listings. edit:…
  • Oh yum!!! Heath bars are my favorite candy bar and it seems I am always getting ice cream cakes on my birthday (July heat kind of dictates that). I know what I'll be asking for next year!
  • Checkout Examine.com's article about caffeine... https://examine.com/supplements/caffeine/ Best of luck!
  • At what point do flavored sparkling waters with caffeine become soda pop?
  • Yes, this! I have been thinking the same thing for a while now. I would be even happier if they released them in one of the smaller "convenience" boxes you can get at 7-Eleven. That way I can be still feel OK when I eat the whole thing in one sitting. :)
  • I would just cook the shrimp up with some Cajun seasoning (or other spice combos) and serve alongside some roasted vegetables.
  • If you are looking for lower-calorie fish options try some of the white fish - cod, haddock, halibut, mahi-mahi, etc.
  • Yes, such a huge range! I usually purchase one boneless, skinless, chicken breast a week from the meat counter at my grocery store. It is always a game of chance. Sometimes they are less than 1/2 pound and sometimes they can be over a pound (they usually are close to about 2/3 pound). The employees probably roll their eyes…
  • I also noticed that if you select "sedentary" the amounts don't change per the goal you select (in addition to what @mmapags mentions). I think this is in-line with the article which is a bit confusing.
  • Examine.com has a very detailed article about protein here: How much protein do you need per day? They also have a calculator which is helpful!
  • No, I do not feel softer or retain more water. Quite the opposite, from what I can tell. All that extra fiber really scrapes out my insides
