Awesome. I had a lapband in September 2010. It's been a journey with many ups and downs. I was 275 and now I'm 205. The slow progress was due to new diagnosed food allergy and high stomach acid. But I do not care as I'm 75 lbs lighter. ☺

I posted here before with the same problem. I increased water intake, upped fat and started taking prilosec to take care of the extra acid. My hunger is still here but much more manageable.

I agree with this. I was constantly hungry and unable to loose weight. I had to switch to low carb and up the fat to 70% . While I have not weighted myself, my clothes feel looser. Plus, the hunger is somewhat under control. If I'm too hungry and have an opportunity for a nap, I definitely use it.

I'm trying the keto diet. I started last week, not sure if I lost anything, plus my measurements are the same. But my face looks thinner. I average about 30 gramms of carb per day. It's not easy to stay within this limit. On the upper side, fat keeps me from going hungry and I can stay at 1200 calories per day.

I'm going to try 1 tsp. and see if I have a reaction.

70% of daily intake. I'm on the 1200 calories per day.

I eat full fat everything to include yogurt. But this is my dilemma...it's high un carbs too and takes 50% of my daily carb intake.
-
I cook with ghee, which is fat. But still it's not enough to get to my 70% of fat daily.

I love eggs, but scared of all the cholesterol.

Thank you for all your support. It actually got me thinking about trying ketogenic diet. This is my second day. I'm doing okay and not terribly hungry. I guess upping my fat and protein helps.
-
Thank you, but I cannot eat most fruits and veggies due to food allergy.
-
I tried plain yogurt with xylitol but it didn't do the trick.

This is might be my wake up call to increase proteins. I'm trying to loose weight and stay on 1580 calories per day.

I noticed that people who are in good shape but have "mommy belly " eat a lot of or mostly unhealthy food. I'm not saying this it your case, but I would switch to all organic diet and see if it helps.
