No aesthetic reason, honestly. I don't know what my current BF% is. Maybe it's just a determined mindset since I originally set a specific goal, which was the 115 pounds. Or maybe subconsciously I want to lose the weight now even more "just in case" I gain it back again. I really can't lower my calories anymore though. And…

What are your macros and what foods are you eating? How much fiber are you getting? From personal experience, I lift weights, do cardio, eat under 1400 calories (by chance), and rarely feel hungry. I eat a vegan diet by the way and usually get over 60 grams of fiber a day without really trying. Maybe its something you can…

You sound like a fine weight for your height. I wouldn't worry about it. If you really want to lose weight while eating healthy though just lower your calories a bit more and/or increase activity. For the record, my mom used to be in a similar boat. In high school and college she stayed a medium weight despite eating 20x…

What's wrong with a high carb, low fat vegan diet? Hmm... lol
-
Then the poster of comment I bolded shouldn't be giving away "one size fits all" information. High fat, low fat, high carb, keto, raw, etc. Let OP follow what macros work best for them. And for the record, I don't eat my exercise calories back. My vegan WOE keeps me full on less calories without even trying.
-
You just described my WOE. Beans/lentils, fruit, vegetables, rice, plant based powders, etc. Hasn't affected me at all.
-
It's ok. And that's what I'm getting tested for actually... Crohn's requires a yearly colonoscopy?
-
There are other ways of eating that can be beneficial, of course. What I dislike are the stereotypes that vegans don't get enough protein or lack muscle or only do it for animal rights. That isn't always the case. As for me getting fed a lot of plant based foods and raw vegetables, fruits, etc during childhood. There were…

I'll have to search for a vegan type as some jellos aren't vegan. I haven't had jello in ages lol.
-
That's another thing I was worried about. Thanks for the suggestions.

Don't know if the following OCD comment(s) was referring to my original one (that implied my diagnosed and struggle with OCD and MFP) but basically people with OCD often obsess about small things. Just like when I joined MFP and started counting every calorie, I double checked everything and became obsessive over it and…

Try recomp (losing fat while gaining muscle, mainly through resistance training although it's a very slow process). It's how I ended up getting a lean body composition. I originally lost a lot of weight by only reducing calories with no exercise nor maintenance/deficit/surplus cycling. Ended up underweight and skinny-fat.…

I don't mind if someone is in public with a shirt off. Heck, I live in Florida, beachside. I see it all the time. Im referring to the males, although the females here expose a lot as well but again, it's the beach and there's even a nudist beach down by the Florida Keys.

Hello, I'm newly vegan too. It's helped me so much! It dramatically decreased my chronic constipation/diarrhea/vomiting/pains (I'm going to the doctor tomorrow for a colonoscopy and endoscopy though anyways to get a possible diagnosis of Crohn's or Colitis). More energy too and am losing weight. Contrary to what many…

Congrats on your engagement! I'm not engaged but going to be a MOH at my best friend's wedding. I've lost 59 pounds so far. Not really much left to go other than some more recomp. My main concern is everyone potentially being annoyed by my vegan gluten-free foods, cakes, snacks, etc. Every wedding I remember going to…

Vegan weight-lifter here. I make lots of recipes. Some vegan (for me) and some containing animal products because my boyfriend isn't vegan and can't cook lol.
-
But a tempurpedic (strong suggestion). You won't be disappointed.
-
I wouldn't mind more MFP buddies. Weight-lifting vegan here. Lost 59 pounds along with recomp. Am getting tired of stereotypes.
-
Friendly. Relaxed, to be more descriptive
-
Baked beans if I make them myself. seaweed or dandelions (both are edible)
-
[Not in order by the way]... sauteed mushrooms, green peppers, onions, cabbage, steamed broccoli, boiled green beans, collard greens, raw carrots, and bean dip. Veggies are my crack.

Low-carb may have worked for you but it's not the solution to everyone (congrats on your weight loss by the way). I'm a high-carb vegan. We're extremely opposite. Eggs? I'll take oatmeal and fruit instead. But that's what works for me (which I've also lost weight on, 59 pounds to be exact). It all comes down to personal…

Weight- 128 lb Neck- 11.5'' Shoulders- 36'' Bust- 32.5'' Waist- 23'' Hips- 34'' Thighs- 17.5'' Am 5'6. I lost inches relatively fast in the beginning but slowed as I began to lean out.

Have I lost weight without exercise? Yes. Smart move? Nope. In the end, I looked like a walking jello stick so I added lifting, sprinting, squats, lunges, etc and did bulk along with cut and recomp. Losing weight without exercise will only get you so far. And keep in mind, as you lose weight, your BMR decreases so sooner…

I lost over 50 pounds and recomp'd before even calorie counting or joining MFP. Just saying... Honestly, MFP seems to have made it stressful, not gonna lie. Calorie counting + OCD = bad combo.

My mother forced me to eat wholesome plant foods when I was very young. By the age of 7, I was snacking on raw radishes (by choice). I thank her to this day. Obesity, Diabetes, Strokes, Heart Disease, and Cancer does not run in our family. Nothing wrong with veganism. My mom even did professional modeling in the 80's on a…

I'm 5'7 and 128 (started at around 190). No more weight loss because my bones are starting to show. I think its time for a bulk, lol.
-
So am I. I'm new to veganism. Add me if you want. The journey begins.

Something you can do is push yourself to be more active as well and you probably won't hesitate to eat workout calories either. For example, my calorie intake is my BMR which is approximately 1362 (before any exercise). I manually set it to my BMR so if I want to eat more, I need to exercise. Since then almost everyday…
