  • It's been 10 days since I had the device removed. Sore theist is finally gone, but now I have heartburn. No heartburn at all before or during the study, but I stopped taking the omeprazole on the day after removal. I'm hoping it will subside on its own.
  • I was unblinded yesterday. I do have the device. At most I was down 15 pounds but have gained it all back. I ended the study yesterday only 1 pound down from my starting weight last April. Disappointing. I go tomorrow to have the device removed.
  • I do have the device. So having it taken out on Friday. Disappointed with my results, to say the least.
  • And I am only 1 pound down from my starting weight. Blah! I started Whole30 yesterday. I'm hoping to get some of my bad habits under control.
  • They could not tell me at my unblinding appointment today. I was supposed to have my physical yesterday but the NP was out sick yesterday so they rescheduled that appointment for this afternoon. Someone will call me at home either today or tomorrow to unblind me.
  • My unblinding appointment is on April 5th. I have this awful feeling that I have the device, but it hasn't worked well for me. It will be very disappointing if it's so.
  • @ptsmiles I've basically gained back all of the weight I've lost. Ugh. I had surgery on my shoulder before Christmas and I've been very inactive since. Trying to get back into my groove. It's hard though. I'm not sure when my unblinding appointment will be, but my original procedure was on April 25, so sometime around then…
  • It's been a couple of weeks now, how are things going with you?
  • Only a few days to go ptsmiles!
  • Smithebeth- I had a terrible sore throat for a few days after the procedure. And a day or two of cramping (maybe more, but it's hard to remember now). I don't recall nausea, unless I over ate. At first, I could hardly eat anything because I'd get so full after only a few bites of food. But 6+ months into the study, I feel…
  • I had my procedure in April. I have my 6 month follow up appointment this week on Wednesday. I haven't lost much weight. Really only about 10 pounds. It was more, but it fluctuates. Still cannot eat very much, so I'm pretty sure I do have the device, but I'm discouraged that the scale is not moving. Also, I have been…
  • How is everyone doing? I had my 6 month endoscopy today. My 6 month appointment is on Wednesday of next week. I really haven't lost any more weight since month 2 (maybe 10 lbs total). It goes down a couple pounds, but then back up again. I was pretty darn certain that I have the device, but now I really don't think so.…
  • Had my 2 month follow up appointment today. Only down a total of 7 pounds on the study scale. Feeling discouraged.
  • I over ate at dinner last night. Big mistake!! Had a later lunch (around 1pm) and even though it was small, I really wasn't hungry when we went to dinner at 5pm. We went to my favorite restaurant (which I've been dying to go to since they opened - it's a seasonal restaurant, but because of the study, being on a liquid,…

  • FYI: my scale at home was higher than the study scale on the morning if the procedure. So my numbers are a bit off here.

  • I'm one week post-procedure today, and I'm exactly 5 lbs down on my scale. My 1 week appointment in on Wednesday and I'm curious to see what the study scale and measuring tape says.

  • I also got the Premier Protein shakes; strawberry and chocolate. Not bad tasting and an easy way to add protein.
  • Procedure went well. Sore throat an had some abdominal cramping when I got home, but I took one of the anti-cramping med they gave me and now I feel fine (other than the sore throat, of course). Hungry - ate (drank) some vegetable soup broth. I think the liquid diet for the next few days will be the hardest part. Luckily…
  • Baseline appointment went well today. All set for procedure on Monday. I will check in later next week.
  • 4'11"
  • Excited!! The only thing I'm nervous about is being disqualified up until the procedure. Although my BMI at my screening appointment last week was 37.5, so I have some wiggle room. I just don't want my weight to fluctuate any before the 25th. I go this Wednesday for my baseline appointment as well. I'm quite short, so a…
  • Procedure is scheduled for 4/25.
  • I have an appointment on 4/12. This will be my first appointment, so I do not have a scheduled procedure date yet. How long did the process take for you from when you first contacted the study people, to when you had your procedure?
