Depends on lots of things. How overweight you are, your gender, your height... if you're very over weight you could lose 2lbs a week for a while, then change to 1lb a week. But for 88lbs I'd say 8-12 months.

I know you can change your calories manually, but I'd stick to what MFP gave you. It gave me 1200 as I'm quite short (5'3). You don't want to be eating lower than you should as you may not be able to stick to it and may end up binging. But yeah, you can just type the number of calories you want to have on settings.

I have PCOS and hypothyroidism (underwctive thyroid). I've lost 17lbs in the past few months by eating what I want but sticking to 1200 calories. I tried a low carb diet which is meant to help PCOS but I couldn't stick to it and it wasn't sustainable. The temptation and cravings sometimes are hard, but because I don't…

I'm not very proud of it... but I did at one point take some pills. And they worked very well for me. All they did was decrease your appetite. So, I didn't want to eat everything in sight (which usually happens). It just helped aid my weight loss I think. But I came off them and put it all back on so they're obviously not…

Physically, I want people to notice I've lost weight. That would be great motivation for me. I'd also like to complete C25K by Christmas, I'm currently on week 2.

I'm a beginner at exercise and I do it on the treadmill. I walk at 3.0 and 'run' at 4.0. It's a slow jog but still a jog

I want to be healthy and comfortable. I don't want to dread it when people get a camera out to take pictures.

I'm in the UK too! Add me!

This morning I weighed in exactly a stone lighter than I was at my heaviest. I've got 2 stone to go. My mini goal is to get down to 160lbs (currently 167), and also complete c25k (starting week 2 today!) by the new year.
