My favorite is people that claim they eat 1200 calories but still aren’t losing weight. Here’s the kicker- they don’t own a food scale because that’s just “crazy.” I just stopped talking after that nonsense.

I like the Aldi Millville Peanut Butter Chocolate and Elevation chocolate chip (also from Aldi). The Pure bars are so thick and make me need a gallon of water. I don’t want to eat for like 15 hours! I guess that can be a plus.

You will retain a bunch of water which will skew numbers on the scale. Drink lots of water when you have high sodium days.

For weight loss I suppose it would work in the sense that your protein shake will be less calories than a meal. However, will that satisfy you? I use protein shakes or a pure bar as only a supplement so I can get more protein overall. Instead of grabbing a bag a chips or candy bar, I have a protein snack of choice in order…

Oh don’t get me started on that one! I follow a girl on Instagram who was all about health and fitness, then became a rep for them, lost a ton of weight etc. turns out she has 2 of the shakes and 2 snacks/day. I would literally be chewing my fingers off if that’s what I had to eat every single day. How long is something…

I know this is an old thread but just week- a FB friend whose family is high level purium person boasted about a 10lb weight loss using their detox for a week etc... and the weight loss will continue using supplements XYZ.... I immediately thought to myself... it was water weight and you were starving! However, they sold…

How are you?

Sad day in history when you realize that cheese and peanut butter shouldn’t be considered a source of protein. However- finding a whey isolate that I enjoy was a happy day.

Most insightful comment I have read and 100% true. Thinking about food all the time, measuring and logging by the gram is definitely neurotic to people that don’t do it but it works for weight loss and it’s technically “easy” after you get through the mental part so it becomes your new “normal.” And then you refuse the…

It’s such a slippery slope. You have to factor in each of their personalities etc. We really can’t control how our kids turn out (I wish I could). All we really can do is control our food environment and set a good example. In the end all we do our best with what we know and hope they grasp something from it.

Sorry. I meant to reply to the person that had a protein bar as dessert at night.

Ohhhh.... this is what I need! What brand?
-
I often use the trinity of- protein shake, cheese stick, serving of fruit as a meal on days I’m not in the mood for leftovers, or I don’t feel like cooking, or I’m on the go

Thank you! I appreciate it!
-
Please make a thread of TOP people in the industry because their is SO much kittenwash and broscience out there it gives me a headache.
-
Ahhhh... I can’t decide if I want it. I’ve never paid $50 for a book
-
I was thinking of treating myself to it

Food for Fitness is awesome!
-
I follow him on Instagram. Good stuff

Yes. But what I understood from it was that you would experience “more” than just a tummy ache. Usually I get a stomach ache with bubble guts and constipation when I eat stuffed pizza but not when I have a grilled cheese sandwich the difference being about a pound of cheese! I’m not allergic to dairy, my body (or any body)…

When my genetically “oval” face changed to “round”

I just discovered “Food For Fitness” and I think MFP users would love it specifically episode 087.

All this and make sure your scale is right. Nothing about those pictures say 140s for your height
-
That’s what I said in the beginning of this thread
-
Is the photo on the left you at 148? Because I’m 145 and same height and I have a visible spare tire, DD cup and an ample rear end

I’ve subscribed to a few! Give me more!

I’m a big reader. And music. Books and music!

Wow. I never thought of it this way but YES!
