If you have not tracked before I would first start tracking to see how much you are consuming daily. then I would start cutting back 100 cals a week till you see results. Then stay at that for a while.

Very nice. Are you doing IF or just CICO?

I'm game. Look me over.

Me. Except, I was way past pre-diabetic. I am actually a diabetic. Lost a bunch of wt, eat clean and low carb. My doc says its ok for me to be off T2D meds but I've chosen to stay on them for a bit till I'm confident I can maintain this state. I'll decide in a few months after my next test.

If you're prediabetic, the best thing you can do is lose weight (If you are overweight). So basically start watching your portions on everything and start walking 30-60 minutes a day. Also important is to eliminate simple carbs from your diet as far as you can (especially rotis, rice etc). At first you will be shocked at…

I didn't say lazy. Talk about assuming. That was my perspective from how I've felt before. OP can take it or leave it but it wasn't meant to be rude. I've always believed determination > motivation. Whenever I felt less than eager or downright uninterested in going to the gym, I'd go anyway and then eventually it becomes…

'Not motivated' is one way to put it. In other words, you just don't want to go. It's too much work maybe? Uncomfortable? Just do it anyway. Motivation is a luxury most can't afford.

Once after a workout I went to the locker room to get changed. It was empty, except for a guy, with his bag over his shoulder, looking like he was done and about to leave. After I got undressed, I looked up and saw that he was still there. Just standing. Watching me... Fiddling with the toothpick in his mouth as he…

Are you sure about that? Isn't the rule 0.8 / "Kilogram" and not / "pound"? Going by the .8/kg formula your goal should be closer to 70g of protein. No?
-
Just stick with it and give it time. My nutritionist told me Smoking increases your metabolism. So quitting means your metabolism has decreased and you should actually be naturally gaining weight (all things being equal). You may not be losing much right now, but if you're not gaining weight, that is an achievement in…

To each their own but for me I would have so many better uses for that 70 cal creamer. You can find lower cal creamer than that and instead add in better calories like protein (2 more sausages or egg whites etc).

I always say Determination is greater than Motivation. I wake up everyday and get to the gym not because I'm on cloud 9 and feeling great and inspired about myself everything around me because, sometimes, it isn't great and I'm not inspired. But you still go. You make working out and eating well about the routine and the…

Wish you all the best!

I'm glad you got that out. On a separate note, congrats on all that you've been able to do. You're officially a <1%er. Not everyone who tries to lose weight can and certainly not as much as you have. Try and reflect on how far you have come. Go back and see your before pictures. You're doing great! Get it together and get…

This. I usually add some chili sauce and soy sauce and stir fry it for a few mins. Really filling, low cal and tasty. The whole pack is ~250 cals and I only need half.

I did the Hot Chocolate Run 15k in San Francisco 2 weeks ago. In the couple of months before it, I was nursing a bad knee and was only able to run 2miles max each run. The most I'd ever run in my life was - once - 8 miles in training for this run. I went out there and ran thinking if I could run 4 miles, I'd walk the rest.…

All good advice here. Remember, Determination is greater than motivation. Whether or not you feel like it, just go! Eventually, it will become a routine that is like everything else in your life. Enjoying your workout is great but doing it or not should not depend on your enjoyment. You should be doing it anyway. Just my…

idk ... seems like a lot of trouble having to catch them first each time you want to wear a pair!

Unless you want to show it via your profile pic which you can do through the website.

I'm an asthmatic too but I rarely get symptoms and it's much improved after I quit smoking. I know how you must be feeling. I think you should definitely take this up with your GP and get a second opinion if you need to. You'll just have to tell your GP you'd like to try each option so that only you decide what works for…

If you really can't get over going back to the gym start your diet again and start walking. Do this diligently and as hard as you can till you see some progress and feel better about yourself. Maybe at that point you will feel better about going back to the gym and if not, you'll have at least started working your way…

Great job overall but I find it hard to believe there's only 10 lbs diff between those two pics. Is it just me? Or am I reading this wrong?

I've been there for close to two years now and am very happy with it. Here is a youtube channel that is more specific to Planet Fitness and their machines - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCnA2IGSh8jOPPiz20oamKzA/videos https://youtu.be/1N0RYgpFsa4

W7D2 done. D3 tomorrow. I'm doing it on the treadmill @ 4.5 (usually @ an incline of 2) and bumping it up to more towards the end.
