The thing to remember is slow and steady, it shouldn't be torture. I think we all struggle in the begining to get a hold of what we can and can't eat or in what portions we should have them. More often then not I manage to have a treat almost daily and still hit my calorie goal but I plan ahead and make better choices more…

I use this method too. Helps keep me on track and motivated since smaller goals are much easier to meet.

Measure small triumphs. Eating one balanced low calorie meal, one exercise accomplished, meal planning for the day or week, a day of positive speak, inches lost (because you'll usually see that before you see the scale move), small goals! Feel free to add. Good luck on your journey!

I think the important thing to look at here is why you felt the need to lie to your boyfriend about your weight gain? You're human and make mistakes and there are going to be times when you fail at things, even those you want to most. You shouldn't be ashamed of failing and he shouldn't make you feel bad for it. It is…

Well just a little follow up all. I gave in that day and had half a glass of milk and 3 cookies....best part was that I was still under my calorie count. Yay!

My weight is all over the place during my TOM so try my best not to pay attention to the scale at all and just move forward while I avoid stepping foot into the pantry.

I had potato chips, ice cream, pizza, and chicken nuggets last week, not all on the same day and all on portion control while still sticking to my daily calorie intake. Don't beat yourself up, you can have all those things you crave in moderation. The important thing is to log and make better choice more often then bad…

Give yourself time and use your previously logged in food to help guide you. It's something that I'm 1still working on but I've made great strides, slowly but still. At first I was starving, literally felt sick everyday for 2 weeks until I almost fainted. At that point I started to put in my planned meals before eating…

Thanks DennisA7p! I have set a goal of 10 pounds by June 5th, sons graduation date, but I realize that this goal may be a little out of reach. I set that goal only because I needed a number, really the goal is to feel better in a dress by then. Thanks for the support!

Same here. Work long hours in front of a computer and weight has slowly crept on. I was able to maintain my weight before but required so much gym time. I have a membership I rarely use so going to try a find some DVD's and maybe I can do them with the kids so I dont have to be out another 2 hours a day after a long day at…

I boil 2 eggs in the morning when I'm getting ready and they work great and are cheap but when I want to mix it up I eat BelVita breakfast biscuits,. I buy bulk. Huge box of 24 packs (4 biscuits per pack) for $10 at costco and they are super filling.

Wishing you the best on your health journey. No judgement on your age, everyone has a struggle. I'm much older than you but I've moved up and down and sideways on the scale and what I've learned is that you should worry more about a healthy life style then a number on the scale. I'm thick, always have been even when I'm a…
