Buying a food scale was the first thing that helped me figure out portion sizes and boy was I suprized at how little some portions were. Well done for staying under your calories even though you were unprepared

You tall ladies im 4ft 11 and know the weight loss issue. I put pounds on just looking at food and am finding MFP great at making me accountable for how much I am eating including portion control. It's going the right way on the scales now

Yes the community section is great for finding help and motivation when you need it most. Or even for finding answers to your simplest questions about diet and exercise etc. I'm new to the community also so feel free to add me as friend to help with support

If you are exercising as well this seems to be a very low calorie intake. Why not try adding a small extra to both breakfast and lunch to get over the 1000.

I also thought the warm up was a workout... I did the first block in the programme working out daily and drastically changed my body shape and lost weight. I really liked it.
