Burned 489 calories on a 37 minute, 4.3 mile run @ 6.90 mph

Agree with @Lietchi , I closed my diary twice while I was losing weight 8 years ago, read what it said, chuckled and never closed it again. That projection has no real value. Don't let it worry you.

As mentioned, you need to find the balance. When I was losing, eating back 0 exercise calories was wrong, eating back 100% exercise calories was wrong. While I was using my Samsung watch to estimate my exercise calories, I could eat approximately 65-70% of the exercise calories estimated and still lose weight. After I…

Why? Maybe he should continue his assumed benefits with a carnivore diet? Maybe a vegetarian diet? Vegan? Mediterranean? Kinda depends what he thinks his benefits were.

You're very altruistic. Pretty sure that 'wonderful database' on MFP that you and everyone is using was built on the backs of the numerous users who had a 'free lunch'. You're right nothing is free but MFP users have been building the MFP database for free for years, for MFP to use as they like. Nothing I input here was a…

No idea on the situation you're describing. I find my Garmin over estimates calories burned for walking (by a lot), and for strength workouts (not by much), under estimates calories burned cycling and is pretty accurate for my running. On days where I do all, it's overall calorie burn for the day is bang on. I never really…

Read labels! Use less pre-made food. Most spice mixes have way too much salt, make sure to buy only the no-salt ones if you use. I find commercial chinese spice mixes are a no-go for me unless I make it myself, their first ingredient is usually salt then they add other sodium laden ingredients. Vinegars are you friend, can…

Lots of good advice above 👍 My registered dietitian suggested eating in smaller intervals (3-4 hrs) to address 2 things: 1) I mentioned I gained weight as I often had one very large meal at end of day and was overeating because I was starving by the time i had it; 2) I was pre-diabetic and was trying to get my blood sugar…

Nutritional values can be different in each country, so what's wrong for you may not be somewhere else. Usually just need to search through for one that's accurate.

On their comment select "quote, and it will copy and quote their comment above where you type yours

Change is hard for many folks to accept. A year after I had lost weight, a close family member told me they were concerned about how much more weight I had lost in the last year after I had hit my goal. I hadn't actually lost anything. I had actually gained slightly as I had added some muscle on. It takes awhile for folk's…

How goes the maintenance plan @xbowhunter ?

Do you take your watch off? Why do you believe it's not accurate? I don't use Apple (Garmin) but your Apple watch should be pretty good so I'm not sure what the issue is?

I've changed names back at least three times over the last two hours, keeps being erased/reset. Also screwed up several recipes. I'm giving up and just doing a quick add until tomorrow

Great info above👍 Protein powder I like is Sun Warrior, recommended by a fellow MFP'er in another thread. Vegan and organic if that's important to you and net carb 1g if low carb. 18g Protein @ 100 Cals

Not the filtered, that's ultra processed, you need the unfiltered. The 'mother' will protect you. Mom's are great like that.

If you wanted to lose weight and your dietician tells you weight doesn't matter, why would you listen to them? I'm in Canada, told my dietician what my goals were and they helped me immensely to lose weight & improve my health. Your dietician was awful for you; Find one that isn't.

Well, it was much more entertaining in my mind before you clarified it 😆

Congratulations @JaysFan82 ! 🏃♂️💨💨💨👍

Glad you found something you like. The 'only way', no not even close. Good luck with the next 40lb sincerely. As someone who lost 110lbs myself I know it takes work. Hope to see you're still here and successful in your quest next year.

Eating only one thing forever, they just longed for death.

When I was 50 I mentioned to a friend I was sick of being fat and was told 'You wear it well, you don't look fat. Besides at your age, no one is ever going to look at you.' I didn't lose weight until 52. I told myself no excuses. I lost 110lbs. I didn't start running until I was almost 54 a few years after I lost the…

Impressive work @huskers0079 !

You bought 6 Fitbits since 2014? That kinda makes them sound like disposable trackers. I had 1 Samsung watch that turned itself into a brick after a software load after I owned it for 2 years. They offered to repair it for almost as much as I paid originally. I said no. I replaced it with a Garmin. I bought one with a lot…

Lots of wisdom in your post, but I really love this....

Never had a cheat day. I just eat and log it, works better for me when I don't demonize food or treat it as a reward.

Except the OP wasn't describing your situation, and I wasn't commenting on your situation but the one he described. My own comment was I hoped 'the regulars' acknowledge my efforts, not random strangers. Nothing I said deserved your rebuke.

When I lost 110lbs I got lots of comments; they started around 55lbs. I took all of them as positive. All. We're they? No idea. They were to me. We're so wired sometimes to be offended that we can forget that most people are trying to be nice. Awkward, sure, we're human. I agree with @jjpptt2 , your intention is important…
