Okay, @quiksylver296, are you one of those weirdo's that likes to drink the dregs at the bottom of a cereal bowl? 'Cause that's exactly what this felt/tasted like to me. Never again!

That is my hope and one of the reasons I decided to bulk. Even at 120lbs I still had cellulite and I decided that I'd focus on building some muscle in that area and see if that helped. If not, then I'll need to work on coming to terms with the fact that I've got a lot of body positives and I'll just have to not look back…

Me too! A cheaper alternative to Audible or music since they're free.

I finished a second round of ELEL last week and dropped another 7 lbs, but I need to be done with that now and any more fat I lose needs to be lost the old fashioned say....moderate deficit and working my *kitten* off in the gym. I'm happy with myself from the front, but the back (my lower half) is just a mess. I hold the…

Popping in because the suspense is killing me.

I think (hope) that Whitney is starting to come around. Maybe.

Audible! I listen to books and sometimes I find myself working out longer than I planned because I'm right in the middle of a good story.

If you really can't control yourself then I suggest you make a rule for yourself that you can't eat those things unless you're in a position where you can measure/weight them out and track them. Then, have a treat planned and waiting for when you get home. That way it's easier to say no to those things when you're out…

I always allocate calories for after dinner.

Maybe one day per week (Friday or Saturday) plan to eat at maintenance and eat all your exercise calories back. That way you get that mental feeling of "letting go" but you do it in a responsible way without ruining all the hard work you did during the week.

Thanks for broadening my view. Good to know they're being smart/careful with it.

Thanks! Yes, they still have to work for it, but I think they're missing a really meaningful sense of the type of community one gets among the natty folks. The struggle, the length of time commitment to hit goals that always seem just out of reach.... It's different, but to each his own...no judgement. (Also, having never…

Whole Foods it is, thanks!

Awesome.

Where did you find them? Amazon has them, but they only sell them in multiple packs.

Thank you so much for posting this! I've been wanting to try it but it's a teeny bit less protein than the peanut butter (which I LOVE) and a few more carbs. And then I tell myself that doesn't matter and the internal debate begins. I'll pick some up.

I do! I find a gym wherever I am (except OBX - there are NO gyms there apparently, I don't get it) and pay the guest fee so I can continue to lift heavy during vacation. So, I bring my whey and also my pre-workout. I also bring protein bars in order to save calories for a big dinner with dessert every night.

You all prompted me to look back at the site and figure out my size, which I had trouble with. My measurements don't quite match up (my waist to hip ratio doesn't fit). What's your advice for sizing?
-
Yes. Downloading and using an app like Happy Scale (for iPhone) and using it every day can help you track those fluctuations.

Look on the nutritional label of the food you're eating. It'll say something like 1 serving (1 cup/30 grams) = 150 calories. Try an experiment. Measure out 1 cup and then weigh it. For many food items that 1 cup will be more than 30 grams, which means you're eating more than 150 calories. That piece of bread you're eating?…

I just want to say that it sounds like you're a great mom and you're doing an excellent job!

Lookin' good!!

Look it up in the MFP database and find the closest food that fits. I searched "Thai Salad" and these were the first few that came up (there were more). Be realistic and honest with yourself, though, with the option you pick. Thai Beef Salad Outtakes, 1 plate, 318 calories Thai quinoa salad, 0.166667 recipe, 260 calories…

Thanks for sharing your story! I'll check out your books!

Does the oatmeal have the raw oatmeal in it light the Halo Top does? If so, I can't do that - it's a texture thing. But the others sound amazing! Regarding Enlightened, I've tried the chocolate peanut butter, mint chocolate chip, and salted caramel and I love them all!

Slow and steady, just like your bulk. You're good at that - no problem!!

duh!

Yep, I would use Ledo's (love them) if visually the pizza slices seem about the same size.

Hi! My husband is a food writer and editor and runs into the same problem. There are lots of good strategies above, especially the calorie cycling and not finishing your plate. You can even eat 1/4, 1/3 or 1/2 (whatever) of the plates you have to order and then take the rest home to weigh so that you have a more accurate…

You're a super taster! My mom is too - it makes things difficult.
