Thank you for all the recycled garbage comments about proper communication etiquette, everyone. Remember to talk to someone using your actual face instead of just harassing strangers on an internet forum today!
-
Again, reiterating that you all didn't get the memo that trolling stopped being cool in 2012.
-
I agree with that-- that's entirely what it is. It would definitely be nice if they would step back and realize that, but self-awareness is probably too much to ask of the general population.
-
No it's fine if everyone continues to comment these things. I do wish they would let me ignore them instead of continuously quoting my replies to decent people who actually comprehended the original post. I don't think this particular forum got the memo that trolling stopped being cool in 2012.

Literally everyone here is getting super hung up on whether I off-handedly mention that I'm paying attention to my food in-take and exercise regimen to the people around me like it's some kind of crime because you all got on a high horse in the beginning and you're too proud of yourselves to get down. Chill.

Right. Good. You read a single sentence out of an entire thread, I'm happy for you.

Because it was a friend and I mentioned how refreshing it was to eat a good breakfast mentioning that I barely ate anything the day before and this person has been looking over my shoulder multiple times in the past while I'm logging calories so they literally asked how many I ate that day and I said 700 and they started…
-
...I'm not sure where you're getting this but this isn't what is happening at all please read with your eyeballs or something? I've literally said multiple times that the 700 calories was a one day thing. What are you reading?
-
That's the way to go! And that's what I always /fee/ liking doing. Sometimes I wanna but I'm tiny and quiet and I've always been kind of soft-spoken and conflict-avoidy.

Oh JESUS I remember when I first started making smoothies. I put greek yogurt in it and the individual who this post is largely about had to remind me that yogurt has fat in it, after checking the container to see if it said "fat free."
-
This happened one day when I was busy with a personal business and forgot about food, it was an off-handed example of something annoying someone said. Stop getting so hung up on it.
-
Sounds like the way to go! I've been periodically trying to maintain a healthier diet over the past few years and every time I start working out (which I do at home) I have to deal with nosey negativity. Probably do need to just learn to ignore it.
-
You guys are hilariously antagonistic about this, sore spot much? But thanks.
-
This is along the lines of the kind of behavior I was referring to. That really blows... I see why your ex-husband is an ex.
-
Maybe you should check on your reading comprehension. The person who said this was suggesting I continue eating less than 700 calories a day.
-
I mean did you guys even read the examples of what happens...? I'm talking about people noticing me doing certain things and always having something to say about it. I never said I was shaming them for not knowing the stuff-- but I do wish they would realize they don't know what they're talking about and let me do what I'm…
-
I don't even talk about it unless I feel a need after someone makes a comment, or if they demand an explanation for why I don't want to go out to eat. But they /see/ it, as I live with them and they always have something to say about it.

Thank you!! I'll start with 50% for a while!

I do use a food scale I do use a food scale, yes. Though I measure in ounces usually and I've heard grams are supposed to be more accurate. I usually eat around 1000, partially to make up for any errors in measurement. I do get hungry but not extremely hungry and usually eating only a little bit when I'm hungry makes me…
-
That's obnoxious... What if you're only eating a little under 1200? My limit to hit my goal is1260 and it's difficult to get just above 1200 without going over 1260. I do some cardio but I don't normally eat the calories back... would you guys recommend eating all or some of them back?

Seriously considering going for a hospital patient transport or some kind of activity job soon. I'm so tired of sitting at a desk all day. I have a personal business on the side of my 9-5 and I barely have enough time for that, work, /and/ work-out sessions that are longer than an hour. I also don't get lunch breaks (we…

I'll have to check the distance on the 5 mph for 10 minutes... tbh I never really looked at it, mostly concerned with the calorie count and time it took. But I'll check that out tonight, hopefully it's accurate. Again I suppose it doesn't matter much if I'm not eating them but it would be good to know I suppose.

So... I attempted to read through all 34 pages of this because I like to hear all the (valid) arguments on a subject but I'm at work and things got long and there was a lot of nonsense like "why risk it" (ie: why risk eating anything you didn't grow yourself after testing all the soil yourself at all?) and I'm just curious…

Fortunately my treadmill does allow me to enter in a weight amount and the speed at which they are burned does seem to slow when the weight amount entered goes down.
