Yep I hear u! Thanx for the advice

You can change your goal in MFP from "lose 0.5 lb/week" to "'maintain my weight" and the system will calculate a maintenance goal for you based on current stats. That doesn't include exercise though so you would still eat back exercise cals when you work out. Alternatively, you can manually set a maintenance goal for…

Hmm, can't work out how to copy and paste. But to reply to Winogelato, I've been losing since middle of Jan and have lost about 10lbs. It's come off quicker than I expected especially as I have eaten back all my exercise calories and have had a few days where I've gone lots over. I did have it set to losing 1lb per week…

There was a MFP blog article on lunches that I found helpful, u can search within the blog to find it. Might give u some new ideas.

My husband runs marathons and when he is a couple of weeks away from one (like now) will just inhale food and still lose weight. We have the same meals I just adapt mine (and have a fraction of the portion size!) but it's the constant snacking in the evening which I find trickiest. No real tips but I sympathise.

Ok, thank you both

Ok so I calculate it assuming that 1 serving is 1 gram? I'm not sure I do have another jar the same, will check as really good idea. If not might ask my husband to do it when he gets home as 1. he is far less likely to get tempted and 2. has no weight to lose due to lucky metabolism and running marathons! Thank u for your…

Right, ok thank u. I will switch from losing 1 to .5 pounds per week and see how that goes for a while. Thanx for your help.

Ha, Ok it looks like u don't get lower than 1200, so makes no difference if I'm sedentary or lightly active. Is 1200 the lowest MFP recommends or has something else that I need to check kept it at the same calorie level? Don't get me wrong, sounds pretty low to me...

Really??!! Oh boy I'm gonna be hungry! Time to suck it up I guess... Thank you everyone.

Ah ok thanks. I have a desk job so guess I need to go with lightly active then. Hmm, suspect my calorie allowance is about to go down

Oh and apparently Oreos are dairy free! I don't like them so haven't tested it but who knew! Reading the labels is going to be your best bet, you'll soon find stuff which works for u x

The Naked range of bars and energy bites are nice for snacking. Not sure what their calorie content is as I haven't had any since I started to try and drop some weight, but suspect it is quite high. Also I'm fine with dark chocolate, as long as it is over 70% cocoa and a little bit goes a long way!

I lost weight whilst in Iceland due to eating so healthily and lots of walking and swimming. Would love to go back so would suggest u just take a break and enjoy yourself!

Definitely cows milk for me too. Cut it out of diet and have had no flare ups since (4years in). Mushrooms are also no go for me.

I wrote a lot more than this (wifi playing up!) Just to say that I experienced some horrible side effects when I first gave it up (full body rash and headaches for around 2 weeks) so might be worth trying to phase out rather than going cold turkey like I did. But totally worth it. There r lots of good vegan blogs u can…

I'm dairy free due to intolerances. 4 years in and has honestly changed my life

Bump thanx

Ok thanx all. Am going to write a meal plan incorporating all your suggestions and see how that works out. As a former veggie I'm a bit wary of red meat but will do my best (and it will make my carnivorous kids very happy!)

Yep, I took supplements when pregnant and I really don't want to take them again!
