  • Hi. I'm an Australian woman, of 51 yrs old. I currently weigh 211 pounds, and my goal weight is 179 pounds because I feel most attractive at that weight, it's realistic, and improves my health. I will respond to anyone interested in giving each other support.
  • This is a book I've read which is scientifically proving higher health, and weight loss, from genuine research undertaken. It is called 'The CSIRO Low-Carb Diet'. The book includes a number of recipes, which are predominating low carb and higher protein than the average Australian's diet. I found it interesting, but prefer…
  • I've got a lot to recommend for the 'myfitnesspal'. I can now control my calories and carbs daily, and sine then I've lost 7 lbs this month. I had my regular appointment with my doctor today, and he's weighed me. I think it's great. I still am doing the KETO and some intermittent fasting. I seem to still be in ketosis, and…
  • How do people, following a low carb diet, manage with occasions when they go out? For example, to a restaurant for a celebration? Do you allow time to 'get over it', and kick yourself into ketosis again with better choices later? or. do you find it hard and forget the diet, perhaps forever? or. do you just make adjustments…
  • Yes it's a bit too complicated for me! As long as the scales tell me it's working or not (diet and exercise) I am tending not to worry at the moment. We've got a celebration lunch for my husband today, Birthday, and the parents are pretty ok with my choice in diet.. I gather it's a steak house restaurant, and so that might…
  • Yep. I see. So this is what I wanted to know. I am still happy with a low carb diet, with exercise and counting calories. But it wasn't what I expected. I thought that the weight would suddenly go down once I went into ketosis. Still. It's been interesting so far. It's given me a lot of help with doing the myfitnesspal,…
  • Yes. Today I've kept under the limit to the carbs, just. As I've been sick I've only started my exercise routine, with my exercise bike again.
  • I'm comfortable in where I am right now. I've been able to tract my food, and this is helping I think. I am eating more fruits as part of the main diet macros diet plan. This is mainly strawberries (3 cups in a shake, or 250 grams raw). I also like avocado. But no bananas as yet..I need to watch my carbs, which is so easy…
  • Yep. It all looks good. I may shift my focus off the Keto, but this might be to allow myself to have fruit for example. Thanks for the advice.
  • How great is it to have that fresh wind of honesty. I think that I should re evaluate the Keto diet, but so far I've actually been enjoying it. Perhaps now that I've joined, I will continue to track my foods/ fitness and get some weight off. Thanks. :)
  • Yes, it's only been two weeks. I may continue on wards. I am weighing tomorrow, so will see. Thanks for the information.
  • Thanks that's honest. I appreciate that. I find KETO easy to do, but I'm not losing much weight in the 2 weeks I've been on it.
  • By the way, my name is Naomi. I want to say hello to this forum, and hope to help out others.
  • Hi Eve, I'm new to the Keto Diet too. I haven't lost more than a pound in the past 2 weeks, but hopeful that I'm doing the right thing. Facebook has quite a few groups for the Keto. Also lots on Youtube. I want to lose 10 lbs as a starting weight loss goal. :)
