  • @maiomaio71 I’ve ordered the yoga book you recommended hopefully it will be here at the weekend. I’ve always wanted to do yoga but I’m too nervous to join a class in case I can’t do it and make a fool of myself. Hopefully I’ll be able to get up to speed using the variations and I might make attending a class early next…
  • @Jackie9003 I’ve been on track for the past 3 days since you laid down the gauntlet. I think I just needed to get the rant out of my system and know I’m not alone and that I’m amongst people who understand not judge.
  • Let's kick each others *kitten* (not literally, I like kittens :D ) I'm going to promise to stay within my allowance and log meticulously at least 3 days this week, how about you? [/quote] Ok I’m in, today is logged-I just need to stick with what I’ve planned.
  • @NovusDies thanks for replying, I think sometimes I just need to vent and have someone ‘nudge’ me in the way I think I should head 😀
  • Had an appointment today with the practice nurse at my GP’s surgery for an asthma check up and flu jab. I see the same nurse for my pill check ups and she did a double take and insisted on weighing me before we did anything else. According to her scales, since I saw her last in July I have lost 10kgs, not only that but in…
  • @hansep0012 The beaches are great but northern Portugal is on the Atlantic coast so the waves can be strong and unpredictable. The Alhambra is in Grenada, Spain which isn’t that far from southern Portugal but a long way from where we go. There are some breathtaking parts of that part of Europe-google ‘playa de Rodas on The…
  • It’s Porto, Portugal-I live in the UK so it’s just a 2.5 hour flight from here. My husband and I love to travel, we decided early on we didn’t want kids so spend the majority of our disposal income on holidays. It was after a trip to Egypt in April that I realised enough was enough-it’s hard being obese when it’s 30+…
  • Hi I’m Jen, I’m 42, 5’3 and I’m currently 221 down from a high of 246 at the start of June. I still have at least 80lbs to go until I’m a healthy BMI and I know that it’s going to be a long slog. As well as being overweight I have hyper mobility syndrome, active Tarlov cysts in my spine and I’m undergoing tests for…
  • Thanks to everyone that took the time to reply-I feel much better after reading through them. I’m going to keep on giving it my all in my gym sessions and keep my nutrition on point and hopefully a year or so from now I’ll be celebrating not only being at my goal weight but also being a stronger and fitter version of…

  • I had a lung function test today (after a bout of pneumonia floored me for a month) and my breathing is obstructed on my ‘out’ breath so no rigorous exercise for another 6 weeks until my re-test. They don’t know if the obstruction is inflammation left over from the infection or if the obstruction led to the infection so…

  • Hi I’m Jen I know I’m a little late to the challenge party but hey I’m here and I’m determined to make changes so I guess that’s the main thing. I’m based in the UK, aged 41, 5’3 and 230lbs and I need to lose at least 90lb to be a healthy BMI. I’m a yo-yo dieter who has fluctuated between 145-225 for years but I’ve…

  • @chinatowninchina have you been to Vienna before? It’s beautiful and the pork knuckle that is served everywhere is probably keto friendly.
  • @Figaver I stopped my 2 litre a day Pepsi max habit when I started keto. I’ve been drinking that level for probably 10 years. The caffeine withdrawal kicked my *kitten* but I’m really pleasantly surprised I’m not missing soda.
