My husband and his mother have this habit too. It won't be an easy habit to break but important.

Such a necessary but very hard habit to break. Me: 1 LNS : 0

I know what you're going through. I have been smoke free since May 2006. I used the gum for about three weeks. Good luck!
-
Welcome daneejela! Let us know how you are doing!
-
It does help. Thanks a lot! Yes I do eat breakfast and it is about a third of my calories for the day.
-
Ok so I will give it a try. I am going to say 5 for the first week, although I am not sure I can do 40 by the 4the week! Hopefully I will show improvement.

Wow! I didn't realize how hard changing a habit could be. So far I haven't been able to accomplish my goal once since I started this challenge. Afternoons are a time where I find myself continuously eating. Anyone else with this problem? Tomorrow I will try changing my schedule and see if that stops my binging. If so, I…

Starting the month sober, AF month so far. I plan to keep it that way. I really struggle to resist alcohol when I feel lonely. I have good communication with my husband and family this month so I haven't felt like drinking.

So I have not been very good this week. For two nights I had two shots of vodka, given to me and my husband by his Russian employee. Another night I had a glass of red wine. The mornings after I always had a slight headache. Now my husband is on a business trip so it's back to the straight and narrow for me. Any…

This month I am focusing on changing habits. No eating after supper because that's when I eat the extra calories. Day 2.
-
Joining again this month. I had two glasses of champagne to celebrate my daughter's first communion on Sunday. I feel like that's okay. None since then.
-
Another day AF. Not sure I see any change in my waist line but I don't have a headache in the morning. It helps posting here. I am thankful for this blog.

For the first time this month I succeeded at this! One small step for mankind, one big step for me. Me: 1 LNS : 11.

Snacking after dinner and eating too much between lunch and dinner are my worst bad habits.
-
I've had one drink this month. Controlling sugar cravings is the hardest .

I haven't had any wine (my favorite alcoholic drink) in about three weeks. Of course for two weeks I've either been sick or taking care of sick kids. My problem with alcohol is I use it in place of people. A glass of wine can feel like a friend, one who will never leave you or hurt your feelings. Then you see people on…

BZAH10 At the gym I go to, there is a scale that tells you body fat and muscle mass. I just haven't gone in a few weeks because of sickness.
-
I am 5'6"(1.68m) and 85kgs(190lbs.). My muscle mass has gone up but my body fat percentage has stayed the same.
-
Great advice from both of you. Thanks. I will try these. Yes I do truly want to change.

5 days AF. Planning to go the rest of the month at least.

I had a glass of wine and a beer on Valentine's day. I am done drinking for the month. It doesn't sound like a lot but I woke up with a headache. That's a sign for me to lay off the alcohol.
-
I'm in starting today.
-
I'm in. Had one beer this weekend. That's it for this month.
-
No alcohol for me since I joined, about 5 days.
-
I'm in. No more alcohol for January.
