Change your habits and you can change your life! Have you got a bad habit or two that you want to kick? Are you ready to introduce new good habits into your life? If so, this challenge is for you.

Every week post a habit that you would like to change. Then log in daily and tell us how it's going. If all goes well after one week, then post another habit you would like to change. To join this group, just hit the star at the top of the page.

My habit that I would like to change is to illuminate snacking between meals. I eat way too many foods while I am cleaning up in the kitchen. Of course I don't log those foods either so I don't have an accurate calorie log at the end of the day.

What habit do you want to change?

Wow! I didn't realize how hard changing a habit could be. So far I haven't been able to accomplish my goal once since I started this challenge. Afternoons are a time where I find myself continuously eating. Anyone else with this problem?
Tomorrow I will try changing my schedule and see if that stops my binging. If so, I will achieve going a whole day without snacking between meals!

Do you eat breakfast? That was the key for me to stop the snacking while cooking later in the day.

I eat about 1/3 of my calories at breakfast- and, no, I’m not a morning person. For a long time I ate 2 huge meals at 1 pm and about 7:30 or 8, but I read that having one’s largest meal at breakfast and smallest for dinner resulted in more weight loss, less belly fat, and better blood glucose values than tiny breakfast, medium lunch, big dinner.

    Hope this helps!

It does help. Thanks a lot! Yes I do eat breakfast and it is about a third of my calories for the day.

I know what you're going through. I have been smoke free since May 2006. I used the gum for about three weeks. Good luck!

My challenge to stop cleaning up food. I hate throwing away food and will sometimes eat the left overs from my children or eat extra food I find that is close to going off just to not throw it away. Yesterday had 1 and 1/3 tuna steaks rather than 1 and a whole bowl of veggies rather the half I should have eaten. Not bad foods however I need to break the habit.

My husband and his mother have this habit too. It won't be an easy habit to break but important.
