When I have a sweet craving, fruit, yogurt and popcorn usually helps... but sometimes if I just can't fight the craving off, I will have what I want, but in a much smaller portion

Don't forget, being skinny doesn't necessarily mean that he is healthy... he might also feel like crap all the time, but because this is how he eats all the time, it will feel normal to him

Thank you everyone, I completely forgot about my fruit and veggies having carbs! I do have a banana a day and another fruit, and I try to have two veggies with every meal (usually broccoli, spinach, carrots, peas or sweetcorn). Thank you, I do try and always go for the wholemeal option, I avoid potatoes or swap them for sweet potatoes already... hope this is right?
