Surprisingly, I lost 1 lb. Hope it doesn't show up tomorrow. I was aware of what I chose for my meal and because I had already decided that I was going to eat chocolate cream pie, I left portions of my main meal on my plate, not wanting to be too full to have to wait until later for my pie. Thoroughly enjoyed everything,…

I had a grandmother that was very mean and miserable to other family members, including myself. Her comments hurt deeply growing up. One day while expressing these feelings to a friend, she said something that made it easier to understand my grandmother's misery. She said that, "hurting people, hurt people." My…

Sorry this isn't on Monday. Thanksgiving week is hectic. Stats since beginning November 14: First SW=267 Weight reached=181 New SW=216.2 CW=215.2 GW=155 Down=1 lb. (for the goal of lossing 10 lb. by New Years) Focus and success to everyone.

Sorry. I joined in on November 13th but I forgot to weigh myself this morning, so I will report in tomorrow morning. Since I've recently retired, I sometimes lose track of which day it is. They are all Saturdays to me, although I'm sure I won't forget Thanksgiving Day.

After starting hiit for the first time, I gained 4 lbs the next morning and then another 2 lbs after doing it again. I was so discouraged that I quit. I now realize what the gain was from after reading from all your testimonies. I guess I gave up way too early. I'll get back to hiit tomorrow because I really did like it…

I'm 60 and just say that I'm 80 so I look great for that age. All joking aside, we are all probably our own worst critics.

I agree with the others. If walking outside where you live isn't possible, try walking in a mall. I'm from the Northeast and walkers go to the mall in the winter when it's too cold outside. Congratulations on your beautiful baby boy!

If you're starving on 1200/1400 calories a day, add more vegetables. They are usually lower in calories and great nutrition in them. Make a broth based soup with protein and veggies. Add a tossed salad with your meals--just measure your dressing. Even if you don't feel it, keep telling yourself that you CAN lose weight.…

Please add me too. My motivation has been on the weak side lately, so this could really help.

I plan on cutting a couple hundred calories each day preceding and enjoy food, family and fun on Thanksgiving Day and returning to my calorie plan the next morning. I'm also not going to weigh myself when I get up as I usually do because there will probably be water retention from more sodium in the foods I'll be eating…

Pepsi in the 16 oz glass bottles were my favorite--icy cold. I haven't drank soda in years now so I guess I'm glad they no longer make it that way or I might start drinking it again. The Pepsi in the glass bottle tasted so much better than in the can or plastic bottle.Oh well...just a fond memory.

I just prefer to make Good Seasons from the dry packet and only use 1 tablespoon. I like my salads lightly dressed and also include grapes instead of tomatoes in the winter because they are pretty anemic and tasteless then. I also like the bit of sweetness grapes lend to the salad. Any salad makes a great meal for me.

I feel for you. Food allergies are no fun. Not knowing is even worse. I, too, am allergic to bananas. They feel like a thousand needles stabbing my stomach after eating one. When I was a kid, milk would do the same thing as well. I don't seem be bothered by it now but then I don't really drink it anymore either. Yogurt…

You are both beautiful and an inspiration. Congratulations on your successful progress.

Another awesome read. Beautiful little girl with you too. Keep winning the war and keep posting.

Nothing says you can't do both, construction and writing. You have a way with words. I'll be watching for more from you.
-
Congratulations on your success so far. It really shows. Keep it up and continued progress to you.
-
I also very much enjoyed your story. I laughed when you said that you looked better out of your clothes. What wit! I'm sure you are right, after your 56lb loss. I wish you continued success and happiness.
-
Wow, wow, and wow! Awesome determination and progress. Thank you for your service. Happy for you and all you've accomplished.
-
I snickered because that's me too. I want to cross my legs again when I sit. May the only super-sized thing in your life be, your determination and success.

Best thing I ever did for myself. It's still just a tool to help with the journey but it did help me. I never had a feeling of fullness before but with the surgery, I know when I'm getting full and can control my eating. I wish you all the best.
-
Congratulations on your success! Having gastric surgery is just a tool to help you lose weight. You are still having to lose the weight through your own efforts just like everyone else. Don't feel bad that you had surgery to help you accomplish your goal. It takes determination from all of us. All the best to you.

I am bringing a dish that I like and can eat more of to help fill out my plate and then smaller portions of the calorie-laden dishes. I'm not looking for perfection that day, just honesty in logging. I'm not checking the scale the next morning either because I read that it takes four days after an overindulgence to truely…

Congratulations of your success. Your results are impressive. Whether it took you two years, doesn't matter. The two years would have gone by whether you worked at it or not. Bet you're glad you started two years ago instead of today.

I started at 267 and it seemed a lifetime before I noticed my belly shrinking. Finally at 181, it was as close to flat as possible for me because I wasn't exercising. I should have exercised because I went up to 221 and my belly looks as big as at my highest weight even though I'm not. This time around, I'm exercising…

People that tell you that you can't loss the weight, are afraid you will. By keeping you overweight, it makes them feel better about themselves because they have their own insecurities and issues and want to put someone else down to feel they are elevating themselves. Lose it for you, not them. You'll keep it off better…
-
You look wonderful. What an impressive journey and encouragement to everyone. Keep up the great work.
-
Congratulations on your continued successes. I, myself, have a problem getting anywhere. For awhile I kept gaining, from a stressful job, up 34lbs from the 80lbs I had previously lost. Now that I've retired at 60, the stress is gone but because the 1200 calories a day that the dietician put me on just seems so hard for me…

Awesome job. Continued success. Post photos and updates. The best to you.

Things didn't end on a bad note because you have so much more to give and to receive in your life. Wishing you great things and successes in your life.
