I'm looking for buddies too. I check in daily now and am trying to get back on track. I really enjoy seeing people post their food and exercise activities and like interacting with more personal posts. Feel free to add me anyone looking for someone who likes friends who interact!

Add me, I'm always looking for more friends here

This was wonderful to read and very inspiring... I have the need to get out of my own way, too. For me what I have to stop doing is mindless coasting. I can be very motivated and put in lots of work, but if I'm not mindful of things daily or at least weekly I tend to slowly lose momentum and sometimes weeks, months, and…

I would love more supportive buddies here. I'm losing 100+ lbs so I'll be around a while!

Add me! I am looking for friends here to support and encourage each other. Anyone can add me.

Oh yeah. Yesterday I added a food from the database that was 17 calories with 52g of fat! Ooooops. I did the neighbourly thing and submitted an edit on that one. But if anyone here figures out to make 52g of fat only 17 calories I owe you sexual favours for life. Or you know.. like.. a thank you!

I think you're off to a great start. You're active to a great degree considering your mobility issues and if you track your food here and set sensible goals for reducing your calorie intake then you will see results. I have a LOT of weight to lose as well but I'm 41 without any major physical issues. I wish you the best of…

4kg is awesome, nice work!

Yes, there is definitely a learning curve. I sadly just saw the amount of sodium in cottage cheese and now I'm sad. The brand that's available here makes a near sodium free dry curd version but that sounds kind of awful.. will have to give it a go though! I agree, less pasta and more veg for me. I don't eat meat but I do…

Thanks for your responses. Yeah I'm going to try and sneak in more activity like walking to the subway instead of taking the bus in the morning since it's relatively cool in the mornings. Once it cools off around here I'll start longer walks in the evening and there are community centres close and a low-cost/no-frills gym…

Thanks guys, I'll grab a coconut water on the way home. I'm sure it's just adjusting to a much lower sodium/fat/simple sugar content that's throwing me off. I still live for coffee and my calorie count is just over 2000... a big reduction but still a good amount. I am also a bit short on sleep because we're in the middle…
