I have made it through Day 8 sugar free and no snacking either. 7.15pm now and I'm going to bed with a cup of tea so that I don't snack. I even resisted a mini pack of jellies I was given today and just put them straight into the bin. Weighed myself this morning and down 2.4 lbs as of last week. Tomorrow: 1. No sugar 2. No…

Have stayed off sugar and snacking this weekend which I'm so happy with myself for doing. Weekends are when temptation hits, as I'm not working I don't have as much structure with meal times either. Tomorrow I pledge: 1. No sugar 2. No snacking 3. No technology 20 mins before lights out. Read a book.

Today I kept my promises - no snacks, no sugar and 30 minute walk. I also bought a weighing scales as I didn't have one in my apartment. Tomorrow: 1. No sugar 2. No snacks

I'm trying really hard to not binge, and avoid sugar, as sugar is a big trigger for me. I cannot eat chocolate like a normal person, I always always binge on it. I can't just buy a regular bar, it has to be a family-sized 200 g bar. I am so hardwired into thinking settling down at night to chocolate and tv is my way of…

Good for you! Your story is really inspiring. It's amazing how you can just not realise these things that are so deeply embedded in yourself and your subconscious. The spiritual aspect of OA is a bit of a question mark for me also, but there is guidance on how to work the programme for the non-religious. I hummed and…

Hi everyone, I love this thread! January goals: No alcohol, no sugar, lose 5 lbs. Just for today: 1. Stay away from sugar. On day 2 of no sugar 30 day challenge and feeling tired, headachey and irritable. I am travelling today and at the airport, and this is the exact kind of day when reaching for a chocolate bar (or two)…

I think often us bulimics can kick purging (even though that adrenaline rush is so addictive, it's such a horrible, horrible disease. Anyone who thinks eating disorders are 'glamorous' just has no idea). However while ex-bulimics can stop purging we often don't address the underlying issues, or the binging aspect of the…

I'm one day into this challenge. Sugar is my biggest addiction and finding it really tough so far. Just focusing on taking it one day at a time. Would love some support.

I really feel for you and understand your struggle. I am a binge eater and compulsive overeater. We all have an eating disorder and it is one that has an enormous shadow of shame cast over it. As a teenager my problems manifested itself in bulimia which was just as hellish. There is so much shame in binging... in hiding…

Hey guys :) Would love some online support. I'm doing a no added sugar 30 day challenge at the moment, and currently struggling through day 1!

I know this is an old thread but as someone fairly new to OA (have been in the fellowship for 3 months) I would love to speak with those who have more experience and get some further support. I'm finally ready to start working the steps but feel a bit clueless as to where to start.
