As everyone else has said, the Concept 2 is the only one worth bothering with.

I have a £6 pair of Maxtek headphones got on offer from Aldi. I really don't think audiophile quality is necessary and have no complaints about these.

Started at 110.7 kg / 244 lbs; dropped to a target weight of 75 kg / 165 lbs last September. Have maintained since then between 70-75kg; presently 72.7 kg / 160 lbs. I have not bothered logging food during maintenance. I had been at it long enough to have an idea of what a good/bad day is. I just keep an eye on the weight…

Iron Maiden - The Red And The Black Great energetic midtempo metal song that I enjoy doing most if not all exercise to. About 13 and a half minutes long; the perfect length for a running race I entered recently.

And that's the next goal done! Just made it below 25 BMI yesterday!

It's the end, and though I hit the goal a couple of weeks back I wanted to update with final results: Screen Name: DJMayes2016 Goal for August 31st: 80kg / 176 lbs July 22nd (starting weight): 84.8kg / 187lbs July 29th: 83.8kg / 184.8lbs August 4th 82.1kg / 181lbs August 12th: 80.7kg / 178 lbs August 19th: 79.8kg / 176 lbs…

Half a kilo until I hit 25 BMI.

Crossfit rowers.

I row at university, but don't tend to do much over the summers. After losing 11kg so far this summer I've been getting back on the erg (rowing machine) and today pulled within a second for the average split of my PB on a test piece (30 minutes, rate capped at 20). Adjusting for the much lower weight I'm now quite a bit…
-
Adice from a rower: invest in a Concept 2. It's comparatively expensive but you strongly risk being burned if you go cheaper. I tried buying a cheap one for when I was away from my club and it didn't even have options to measure your current split or distance covered!

Not really a Mini Goal - Goal weight itself! As of this morning it's only a kilogram left to go!

In some senses this is not really an NSV but it feels appropriate. My older brother has always been lighter than me and teased me about my weight. Or at least until today, where I weighed in lighter than him for the very first time!

Beyond protein I don't really track macros, and protein is only because I want to maintain muscle where possible whilst losing.

First proper pushup!

I've managed near enough a stone since the end of June starting at 198lbs on around 1700 calories a day and exercising each day as a 5'9" male. Not necessarily advisable weight loss rate but this was particularly fast at the beginning and has settled down to a rate of around 2 lbs a week now.

Realistically there is a limit to your time (and perhaps to your distance, if there's a specific walk you like) so build up to that and then try optimise it. If you have a set time make sure you can walk for the entirety of it and then start building up distance. If you have a set distance, make sure you can do the entire…

Ran my first mile! A bit more to be exact - 2km in 11'18", with the closest comparable thing being 1.3km in around 6 and a half minutes, which I also did fairly recently. I'm not on a program but have been trying to jog a bit more on the way to swimming.

Thanks everyone. I don't feel like I'm experiencing anything adverse - sleep is actually pretty good at the minute and I don't think I have a lack of energy given the amount of exercise I've been doing. This all said, I am a firm believer that a problem which can be solved by eating isn't a problem. From now on, after…

1) As said, I have it set to sedentary. As I am exercising 6 days a week (and walking the dog twice at 20-30 minutes a time) this is probably not strictly true but at the time of setting it I didn't want to accidentally set it too high and find I didn't have a sufficient deficit. 2) At present I don't log a lot of my…

Diet Irn Bru is the only diet fizzy drink I've ever been able to get into, though I'd imagine this is impossible to get hold of outside the UK.
