My husband told me my jeans were too baggy and I needed one new pair. Old size was 22W, and I lost only 4 lbs so I grabbed a 20W and an 18W off the rack. On a whim I tried the 18W and they fit! A tiny bit snug, but they fit! That was Saturday. I wore them yesterday, Monday, only 2 days later... and they are a tiny bit loose in the hips and legs now. Four lbs and I lost two jeans sizes. I imagine that Goodwill will be my new favorite place to shop now!

A hotel towel wrapped all the way around me and even overlapped itself. I don't remember the last time I didn't have a gap.28

I so love this thread! Mine is photo related also - during our vacay someone took a picture of me and the little ones and I did not wince when I looked at it.....22

For the first time in over a week, I forced myself out of bed early and walked the dog nearly two miles. Oh yeah, and I ran 2 loads in the washer and hung them up to dry, all before making my lunch and leaving for work this morning. Big whoop!21

I wore a new smaller sized outfit to my golf tournament and dinner last night and I got so many compliments that it became a little surreal. The thought actually crossed my mind that I was being pranked! Comments on my toned arms, smaller waist, even my skin. I narrowed my eyes and checked the faces around me for signs of conspiratorial giggling, but none to be found. Just a great group of supportive friends noticing my hard work this last year all at the same moment.33

With the Awesome button available I tend to congratulate people on this thread a lot less frequently than I used to, but since I'm here bragging about my NSV anyway, let me take a moment and congratulate the two posters above.
@thenananator I know exactly what you mean. I wince a lot less nowadays but I haven't hit no wincing at all territory yet. High five for that.
@cschmitz110515 congrats on getting yourself out there for a good walk and getting some chores done early. Increased energy, a cleaner house, and living life more fully are big goals on my list.12 -
I am on holiday and am positively seeking out photo opportunities, whereas I used to hide. The fat woman doesn't live here any more ☺36

Last year my AST/ALT was 385 & 400. Today they are 24 & 30.
Last year my cholesterol & triglycerides were 286 & 513. Today they are 187 & 130.
Last year my fasting glucose was 174. Today it is 83. Every lab was perfectly within normal limits. Attached note from my doctor: "You are a rock star with the weight loss. I am so proud of you - keep up the hard work!"62 -
My NSV is around recovering. ..I'm on vacation and I had decided to eat at maintenance. The last few days have been a lot higher, and, most importantly I haven't felt good after the fact. (Too full and bloated) and not really enjoying my food . Today, I'm at my regular deficit but still worked in a G &T and some chocolate and most importantly enjoyed my food and feel full- not stuffed. I feel proud!30

Noticed the other day that I actually have little "gunz" now! Took a LONG time, but they are starting to show!23

Mental victory - I have a date tonite and have to leave for the date about an hour after I get off work. I am heading home then straight to the gym for the 15-20 minutes I can take for a work out before I leave for the date - only because I need to be in the gym and it's now important to me. That's new. Generally I'd blow off the gym for the date - now it's me first. Then other things.43

The 30 Day Shred will totally change your body for the better! I did it for 60 days, and it changedy life!! Stick with it and you will she how worth it it is.pluginbaby wrote: »Today I got back into working out for the first time in over a year. Got 15 minutes into the first stage of 30 Day Shred and am feeling quite proud of myself. I stopped pretty much any effort in the last couple of years and I kept saying "next week, tomorrow, next week" and today I just thought "I've got the time, why not?" and went for it. I'm going to feel it tomorrow when I try for the full set, but I think it'll be worth it!
Well done to everyone on their success and I wish you all good things for the future!

A stranger at the gym came up to me yesterday and told me that she could see a huge difference in the way I looked from the time I joined (about 3 months ago) to now.31

I took a course to be a fitness instructor and everyone else there was 22. When the instructor went around the room to ask why we were taking the course I said "because I'm 53 and need to start thinking about a plan for when I retire". The guy in front of me said "Wow you look great for an old person!!".. Really, word for word!!! Yes, I did thank him!!34

I row at university, but don't tend to do much over the summers. After losing 11kg so far this summer I've been getting back on the erg (rowing machine) and today pulled within a second for the average split of my PB on a test piece (30 minutes, rate capped at 20). Adjusting for the much lower weight I'm now quite a bit faster than before!22

I was feeling down today. Financial issues, other things, and I had stood in front of the mirror and taken stock of all the loose skin that losing 110 pounds on a 52 year old body has left me with. Then, as I was folding the laundry, I grabbed a pair of soft denim jeans that - for a moment - I couldn't tell if they were my 12 year old daughter's, or mine.
They were hers.
For fun, I slipped them on, and they fit like a glove.
I might have loose ugly skin, but I can slide it into a pair of size 10 jeans, and no one knows it's there but me. And that's what it comes down to. It's worth it.75 -
My undies are looser and clothes in general are looser27

I have lost 5 inches in my upper abdominal area and can fit into size M blouse used to be XL28

Bought some size Large tops & sweaters (some really nice name-brand stuff, too, some with the tags still on them) and even got a Medium that's a little snug but will fit by spring. I picked up a few skirts that will have to be taken in at the waist. Came home & packed up all my oversized sweaters and winter tops for Goodwill. Woohoo!! Got dressed this morning for church and felt so pretty!
You know what I like best about this? The part where you *know* that Medium will fit by Spring!

My weight hasn't been dropping much.....about 3 pounds in the last 2 months....so I decided to try on my clothes from when I started this journey back in January...and WOW!!! My jeans are HUGE! No way I can wear them now, and THAT is a victory. Even if the scale isn't moving much

1. I finally got a new work vest XL ( I was in a 3x) I keep thinking my smaller one will not fit but it fits perfectly!
2. Bought a size 20 jeans that fit great, I was in size 24.
3. Im finally under 200- ( 198.6 as of this morning) I started at 255. I never tought this would happen but I really just take 1 day at a time. And if I do go over calories the next day i just restart all over ....and its ok. Somedays you want ice cream or pizza and its ok just in moderation and just not to continue out of control, or if I want a treat i just try to fit it in my set calorie goals.41 -
The majority of my life, I've worn an average of size 12 (lowest size 10 and highest size 16) Yesterday, as I hiked my belted/safety pinned/baggy *kitten* pants up, I decided it was time to shop for new work pants. I had to pinch/slap myself as I went back to the rack to get a size 6!!! My first thought - - they are messing with me and these sizes! but they are the same brand as my previous pants. I.HAVE.NEVER.BEEN.THIS.SMALL!!!!43
