We are looking to add a rowing machine to our home gym. Don't want to break the bank. What rowing machine do you have? Are you happy with it?

I have a concept 2 ... yes the price is high but it is the best rower and you will not regret this purchase as long as your comittted to using it. You have done the research I'm sure. I love it, my only downfall at the moment is it's at my primary house and during the summer I'm at my vacation house most of the time

Another vote for Concept 2. Bought mine two years ago...zero buyer's remorse. High quality rower.

    3x - Concept2. Worth the $945 new.

Best that you can buy. Great customer support. Great fan base. Useful performance data tracking app and lots of technical info and training videos online.

Can be found used but sellers often ask too much -- as much as 80-90% of new for much older models. Better to just buy new IMO but there is info available online to help judge the vintage and usage of older models.

The only rowing machine worth buying is the Concept 2, they're a little pricey compared to to others but they are the gold standard (used in gyms, rowing clubs, universities etc etc etc) and worth every penny. Mine is over 5 years old and I row an average of 1.5 million metres a year (compared to many I'm not using it much - it's x-training for me) and have had zero maintenance issues (keep the rail cleaned & chain lubed periodically). No regrets at all.....

In addition to making a great machine C2 is also great at keeping rowers going with periodic challenges & virtual competitions (they have freebies if you join their community with the on-line logbook and give away t-shirts etc when you hit certain milestones) It's probably the only machine that doesn't bore me to tears.....

Concept 2, others are not worth it.

As everyone else has said, the Concept 2 is the only one worth bothering with.

PS: This price is with shipping included.

A standard Model D w/PM5 goes for $900 plus $45 shipping direct from Concept or indirectly from Rogue. Concept also sells thru Amazon but lists the price there at $945 (including FREE shipping). It's all the same price.
