I just wanted to suggest here that one can research the Sinclair Method or pharmaceutical extinction, since you mentioned nalproxine. This is not a suitable treatment for someone who is sober, but I just wanted to throw it out there in case anyone reading this is looking for alternative and effective treatment.

Ibuprofen, a topical anti-inflammatory, ice, and check your posture frequently.

A fitness goal, like a 5 km run or 20 km bike ride?

I haven't been logging, or exercising much, and I'm up about five pounds but seem to be pretty stable. I kind of go through eating less when I get so plump my clothes don't fit, and eating more when I think I'm looking slim. I try not to worry about it too much, but I always seem to have a new goal for a new month: ie. A…

No you are not eating too much. Keep doing EXACTLY what you are doing (if you like your plan). As I lost weight the scale went up and down daily, but over two months the trend was down. Also, if you eat too much one day, it won't really make you gain a pound, even if the scale makes it seem like you did. Just pull up your…

Yes. Christine_72 is the success story here.

I'm pretty sure I would lose

I weighed and measured randomly for years after I reached my goal weight. It took about three years before the weight started to creep on again. That's why I just joined mfp again.

Mint and cucumber and strawberries, infused overnight in the fridge. Or basil and oranges, or make up your own.

I think it was the high risk factors of getting diabetes that helped propel me to stay in shape in the first place. By merely staying in my bmi zone, my blood sugar levels are normal. I have stayed there for over twenty years by always doing something, whether it's the way I'm eating or from running, building muscles, or…

Be patient. Trouble spots are often the last place where we notice change.

I agree with what everyone said here. My first 5 km was such a proud memorable experience. Enjoy it.

I get this. I find protein shakes make a big difference but I rarely make one, probably because it seems "unnatural" plus I prefer peanut butter and stuff. I'll have one today now, though, because I can see how silly my "unnatural" reason is.

The terms "excellent" and "good" are subjective. Walking is excellent exercise for me personally, for various reasons. Hockey is excellent exercise for one of my friends because it makes him super happy and keeps him fit. Jogging is not good exercise for someone who has just had a hip replacement, but it's "awesome" for my…

I think 1800 is not too much. I can maintain at 146 on 1800. Keep at it! Enjoy the food.

Just my 2 cents: make a small change, and keep trying. If you have a day of gluttony, change it up tomorrow. Keep it simple and do the easiest thing first. For example, just track calories every day, and go for a walk. Or drink water instead of eating an extra snack. Personally, when I'm having a bad day, I'll just do some…

I can't even imagine the 180 and over range. I just keep adjusting things here and there according to my preferences (tortilla chips, veggies, yams, beans and salsa... ^ carbs) and my exercise goals.

Advice from my personal experience: Get some good cookbooks, buy nutritional yeast. I'm only vegan those weeks when I spend time in the kitchen cooking and meal prepping or when I buy a cartload of processed vegan foods from the supermarket to eat with quinoa or potatoes or rice and salad. One meal prep idea: I like to…

I find I have to supplement with protein powders if I go over 100 grams

Naughty joke-telling

You can also average your calories out over the week, staying at or below TDEE. Sometimes it's a good idea to eat at maintenance for one week, then go back to s deficit the next.

10 days isn't very long. You already are seeing results with the way you are feeling. Keep doing what you are doing, slow and steady.

I got too jealous of your chiseled abs.

I've gained back about five pounds that I want to lose again, but more important, I want to feel bigger muscles in my back... My physiotherapist said I'm very weak there.

I used to weigh myself every day. Now it's less than once a month. Luckily I'm maintaining.

Great articles sunny beaches. I stopped seeing my naturopath when she decided that b12 shots would help with my fatigue, (even though I'm not deficient and we both knew my iron was low). When I said that the shots weren't helping, she suggested more shots. I'm not going back to her, but it was nice to feel like I can relax…
