Great job!!

Yeah ... lol. I got fitted for new bras recently and she said “Wow, you do a good job hiding those” — wasn’t quite sure how to take that so I said “um, thanks?” :D :D :D

Lol - posted this as a Halloween costume success story but I’ll add it here, too, cuz I am starting to feel like Wonder Woman! (We all are - we can totally do this!) 40 years old, 5’9” and a “smidge” SW: 284 CW: 171ish (middle pic was about 184-ish, I think) GW: 155ish - depends on how I can change with lifting. Been…

Absolutely frickin’ awesome!

I have/had the same problem and found out I was severely anemic. Once I got my iron levels in line the problem is much less severe.
-
I can totally see that, especially since I “walk funny” so running just amplifies that. Not really gonna push it ... but I am surprised how “not terrible” running that far was!
-
And ... now I ran 2 miles today on the treadmill! (was pouring outside). I had my pace pretty slow at 5.5 mph but I didn’t have to stop. Didn’t have any problems with cardio or stamina but I found that my left calf got super tight and my hips hurt a little on the outside. I walk a little funny (right foot turns out quite a…

The problems that obesity can bring should be more terrifying than loose skin. I am down 113 lbs and have some in my belly but I look f-ing fantastic in clothes now and my fitness is amazing. Things may tighten and I continue lifting ... but loose skin is nothing compared to How I looked and felt before. Don’t be afraid!

I honestly don't know what tarragon tastes like but I am game! Trying to up my cooking game. I once made lemon bars and forgot the lemon ... Lol ... so I tend to stick to tried and true faves. But this week I made a quiche and a shrimp and scallop paella which both turned out great (and I made as low cal as I could). But…

Nope. Starvation mode isn't a thing. The questions above will help folks give you real answers.

You sound way more active than me and I work out 5-6 days a week!! But my job and the rest of my life are sedentary. I'd start by setting your MFP goal and seeing what calories you should be eating without trying to add exercise. Try that for a week or two to get used to it. Read the threads here about properly weighing…

I had one a number of years ago that ruptured and almost killed me. It was the size of a man's fist. I was in bed and woke up with a sharp debilitating pain in my shoulder of all places. I went to the ER and basically the blood internally was squishing everything which was causing my pain. I had to have surgery and spent…

Packaged foods can be weighed. The weight can be off up to 20% by law, I think. The lady I saw weighed her hamburger patty. I get that it won't be perfect but after all this time I still can't eyeball 100 grams or whatever but this would help some.

Hope this works! American Weigh Scales AWS-600-BLK Digital Personal Nutrition Scale, Pocket Size, Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000O37TDO/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apip_FHUTNe7b3IrMw

Wow ... not one thing here is a bash. I hope someone comes along and posts the video of "eyeballing" vs weighing food. People generally are bad at estimating and that's not a bash on you. The food scale is just a tool to accomplish your goal. You wouldn't refuse to use a hammer because it is "too extreme", because you…

Wow, wow, wow! You are amazing!

Mexican with all of the extra cheese, guacamole and sour cream. And the chips. And margaritas!! Enjoy whatever you pick - you earned it!!

1.5 lbs a week is a huge amount! Your expectations are all that need adjusting. Losing weight is a slow process.
-
What is your height, current weight, goal weight? Are you weighing all foods on a food scale in grams?
-
Your loss is awesome! No matter what happens with the skin, remember that!!
-
What is your height, starting weight and goal weight? When you say "track" - do you weight all solid foods in grams on a food scale (even pre-packaged ones)?
-
What are your stats? (Height, starting weight, goal weight?) I am down 113 lbs (20-ish to go) - there are no quick fixes. This took me over 2 years of sticking with a plan ... if you are committed and realize it is a long process, you CAN succeed!!

Didn't get that sense from our brief conversation. She weighed the burger patty but just measured out salad portions in her mug. But I guess ya never know!
-
P.S. My hubby was mortified that I started this conversation but I told him that would be me when I am 70 so he better get used to it! Lol
-
It had blue cheese and bacon. She held the bacon from her salad but had it on the burger. Said she was "mostly low carb" but not a freak about it. She was awesome.
-
Ok, not on MFP but has a composition notebook she tracks calories in for maintaining weight. Said "people just plain eat too much!" Of all the food she ordered, she ate about half. Said she was full so she stopped. Wisdom right there!!
-
For the record, I had two beers, a burger with the bun and coleslaw. And chicken wings. Diary not gonna look pretty but I am logging it! Lol - last day of vacation! ;-)

She is engrossed in conversation but I took a spy shot when she slid the food scale back in her bag. I have no excuse not to bring one while traveling anymore!
