Hate it sooo much! Need to be able to opt out. I already mostly stopped using this app after the last update and this is hideous and not useful.

I started with wall push-ups, then kitchen counter, then stairs as mentioned above. My trainer at the time also would strap me into the weight pulley machine and use counter weight but that would be hard to do alone. The one thing he told me is don’t focus on “knee” push-ups because they don’t engage your core and…

Oh yeah - my new city has a zillion great restaurants and about 100 within walking distance. At least I get a 2-3 mile walk in round trip to some places! Lol On a positive note, I am currently on a 400 day streak of at least a 30 min workout. But goes to prove you can’t outrun your fork!! Down 3lbs this week which I know…

I must have this recipe. Lol *pretty please*

Just got the bike and tread after quite a delay. Working on getting all set up and figuring it out!

Hold your head high and remember you did more than anyone at home on the couch! When I first started working out, I did a “test” with a trainer that was four 45 second rounds of exercises (squats, deadbugs, jump rope and mountain climbers). I thought I was going to die and was so sore for 4 days after that I couldn’t sit…

Donut peaches! So juicy and delicious.

Not sure if this is new but it was new to me. Hubby is not a fan of cauliflower but I told him it was cheesy and he could have a glass of wine with the calories we saved on rice. We both ended up liking it.

I am 43. Two summers ago I started running again for the first time since high school. I did a few 5Ks and always managed about 11-12 min miles. Not super fast but I wasn’t really training to improve. Life got crazy and I stopped running until the pandemic (was still exercising just not much running). First run back I…

I somehow panic bought a bunch of canned chicken at the beginning of the pandemic. Lol - I turned it into a couple styles of chicken salad. One was with lots of curry powder and some Greek yogurt and chopped green onions. One was with spicy mustard and a little chopped pickle. Made it work!

This was an accidental substitution from a Shipt shopper. I am not vegan and was looking for wontons. But OMG low cal, you can fill them with literally anything (I have done scrambled eggs/cheese/meat, pizza style, buffalo chicken and a bunch more). 10 min in the air fryer and it tastes like you are eating something way…

Chives! Chives on everything. Lol And garlic stuffed olives.

OMG so glad to see someone else who does the laundry thing! 😂 I started folding piles downstairs in our tri-level house and running them up individually. I have continued now that we are in an apartment and I make a circle or two around the couch between each pile. It can add up with a few big loads of clothes!

This sounds like my idea of hell but it is a heck of an accomplishment for him and a great tribute!

Is there a training program for biking like a C25K type plan? Or just try a bit more in increments? I am going to defeat those hills and get to my B&B some day! 😃

Loved this post. So inspiring!! Great job

Gonna be the one who disagrees with most of the comments here. Lol - I bought this small scale which fits fine in my purse. I have never had a comment using it. If I did, I’d explain how I have goals ... and I wanna meet them! (I have a thread somewhere of an older lady in the airport with a food scale who inspired me).…

If you haven’t gone, how do you know there aren’t other “loners?” And even if it is all “pals” you’ll all be yoga pals soon enough! Introduce yourself and smile! This is my nice way of saying just do it! I have way more friends and acquaintances after starting classes than I did before. You’ve got this!

Does learning to ski (at age 41) count? Lol- more to get over my fears of ... lots of things ... than for fitness but 3 years ago when I was 100 lbs heavier I wouldn’t have considered it! Also - to run at least 2 5k races under 33 minutes each and to hike a few new trails while traveling.

This!! It was the first thing I made and still my favorite. Roast is another great option.

I have a very nice small purse size scale I got on Amazon for <$20 that works well for things like this. No shame in my weighing game! Lol
-
You look so beautiful in that dress! I know you can do it on the CICO train!
-
Yep, that’s it! If I ate the amount of cheese I actually wanted to eat it would be 73,000 calories vs the couple hundred I can budget for in just a few small cubes! Lol

Peanut butter and nuts are very calorie dense for small portions. Cheese! All of the cheese! Olive oil added while cooking.

Whaaaaaaatttttt????? Must buy NOW! Edited: Dang quoting - meant those pecan pie M&Ms!!!

I had my first one a few months ago (female, age 40) to rule out some other issues. I gotta say, I had no issues with prep. It was a little weird but not painful like if you have diarrhea. Just more like - gotta go and it it comes out easy! Absolutely nothing to be embarrassed about! Docs are professionals and if anyone…

Where you are now ... you have taken the first step. Macros, meal timing, “named diets” — all pretty irrelevant right now. Focus on getting into a calorie deficit and the rest will follow. Enter your stats into MFP. At your starting weight, you can probably safely pick 2 lbs per week to lose as a goal. Get a food scale and…

You all forgot the “swearing profusely” part of these instructions. No burpee session is complete without that!
-
I opened this expecting someone eating a panda! Lol

Same here. Stopped consistently weighing food/logging for 2+ months - not because I was at goal weight but because my work/travel schedule got crazy. And 10-ish lbs is back on in a flash. Sigh. I know better. Back at it. We can do this!
