Berries, especially blueberries, and strawberries are low in calories, but also sweet. Fruit. Also, what about exercise? I regular exercise to help boost and maintain my mood.

She hurled all over my shoes.

Sure, I'm in for 60 minutes. A day late starting, but no worries. I've been doing a daily pushup and situp routine. May as well do planks, too.

Hi, I use Bike Calculator on my iPhone. I tried Map My Fitness. MMF was telling me 1,800 calories burned for a 20 mile, 1 hour and 20 minute bike ride. 1,800 calories seemed way too high. Bike Calculator seems to be the standard that everyone uses. I calculate my calories in BC, and then enter the result manually into MMF.…

My wife, among others, has been trying to get me to quit drinking diet soda for years. About a month ago, I tried to wean myself off of the beast. I bought some Polar seltzer water, and tried drinking that instead. Sometimes, I mix it half & half with apple or cranberry juice. I don't think that it is a good thing to be…

Eat more protein, and fewer carbohydrates. Protein will satisfy you longer, and has less calories than carbs. Drink more water. It will help to fill you up. Exercise.

I signed up for the 100 Pushups Challenge. I may try this one, too. I'd like to work on the Pull Ups Challenge also.
-
I'll do the 100 Pushups Challenge with you. I've been doing 2 x 10 pushups and 2 x 15 situps every night before bed for a month or so.

Have you tried working with a personal trainer? I now have 2 PT's. The trainer will evaluate your current fitness level, and create workouts to move you along. Also, you don't have to know anything about weight lifting or design your own workouts. Just show up, do the routine, and move on. You can tell the trainer what you…

Strawberries, or any type of berry. Low in calories, sweet. Strawberries must be the most "perfect" food!

If you can afford it, hire a personal trainer. I work with 2 different PT's doing different style workouts. The personal trainer will evaluate your current fitness, and will design workouts that appropriate to your level. You won't have to think too much or make up your own workouts. A PT can take handle this task for you.…

Your spouse should be supporting you in your weight loss efforts. You need to get out of that relationship.

Hi everyone! I just saw this group listed on the MFP home page, and would like to join. I have lost about 40 lbs so far with this program. And, I have about 35 more lbs to lose. I have found working with a personal trainer very helpful. In fact, I would say that it is the best money that I have ever spent on myself. I…

Quit smoking first. Then, deal with the overweight.

I use exercise to manage my depression and keep it in remission. I also use my anger to channel into my workouts and push myself harder. Sounds like you could get out of the house, too. Getting out and about might help to change your mood. I sympathize with you.

Do strength training. I have a personal trainer. This is the best investment I made in my life. I used to think that cardio was where it's at, and that strength training was an "add-on" to cardio, if I had time. Not so. I find strength training, esp. with heavy weights, to be very motivating. it helps to get angry when…

I have an 8GB Pyle PSWP8BK Active Action Water Proof MP3 Player. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00XLW6L3O/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I know the Pyle brand since I have some of their audio equipment (amps). It is OK. I use it once in a while these days. One of the earbuds tends to fall out while I'm…

I work with 2 personal trainers. With one trainer I do flexibility and movement exercises to help me with (dry land) swimming and golf (to some extent). I see the first trainer (female) for 30 minutes once per week. With the other trainer (male), I lift heavy weights once every other week. I have been doing this routine…

I weigh myself everyday, sometimes several times per day, and I don't feel like it's an obsession for me. Weighing myself every day is just part of my morning routine. I've been advised by health professionals that one weighing per week is enough. My fear is that, over the course of one week, that my weight could "spike"…

Hang in there, buddy. You can do it!!

Try to wean yourself off of sugar and carbohydrates. Eat more protein, instead. Meat, eggs, cheese (4 oz.). And vegetables. For something sweet, try berries (any kind), but not other fruits. You might also ask your doctor to prescribe Metformin. Have you had your glucose level checked recently?

Any type of berry is pretty safe, if you are craving something sweet. Klondike bars are only 300 calories. I succumb to the urge, sometimes. But, 300 c. could fit into a day's food budget.

Every day, naked, in the morning. (preferrably after moving my bowels.)

Eat all the protein that you want - meat, fish, chicken, eggs, cheese (4 oz). Limit your carbohydrates to 50 g. per day.
