  • I should've been more specific/clear: I currently do the farmer walk/carry and the variations. It's my favorite workout, honestly. I worked in a manual labor job for 9 years and most lifting workouts it just feels like I'm shuffling weight around (I lifted extensively for football for 5 years, so it's a bit boring). So I'm…
  • When you're hungry, drink water, and drink a full glass of water before meals. Whenever I first start on a diet, I expect to be hungry a lot for a MINIMUM of a week. Gotta give your body time to adjust. But seriously, water water water.
  • I've lost 90 pounds over the years with no regard for what time it is when I eat, due to work, travel, etc. As Ford from HitchHikers Guide to the Galaxy says, "Time is an illusion. Lunchtime doubly so."
  • I'm an excellent positive shover. It's just all about discipline.
  • Great!! The power of positive thinking will do wonders, which is why I stopped saying 'plateau' when talking about my weight loss. I call it a pit stop, because you're still in the race, but you will eventually have to change a few things to continue on the journey. Good luck!
  • Mind over matter. Only reason I've been able to go from 330 to currently 240 is discipline. What's worked well for me is cutting out stuff I consider junk, including my favoritest thing ever: pizza. No fried food either. But it sounds like you have some things under control now. Wishing you the best!!
  • I felt like poop today but that was due to getting overheated at work (I work outside). Awesome on the 54 pounds! I didn't discover MFP until this year. Also the first time in my life I've counted calories. It's weird. Lol. Add me. Slainte
  • Feel free. Been down that road.
  • Take it from a corn-fed Iowan: you'll be fine, just moderation and skip the butter.
  • I was against dieting most of my life. To me it always had a negative connotation due to fad diets. Biggest thing that's worked for me (down 90 pounds from my heaviest): setting strict guidelines and sticking to it. Pizza was my favorite food. Ate it at least twice a week. Stopped eating it cold turkey in January, went…
  • Pizza. I haven't had pizza in 2 months, and before that it was January. I love pizza more than most people love their pets. But I've lost 30 pounds on practically diet alone. Skol.
