@MissCreepyLovestruck you look so good! Happy and healthy:). Your little one is precious!

Like @netitheyeti when I would go from obese (31-32 BMI) to overweight (27 BMI) which was always my “get back down to” weight, people noticed and commented positively. I did this many times over the years. This time I went from 31 BMI down to 23 BMI and it’s different. Reactions run the gamut between no comments at all to…

I love cheese grits, the creamy cheesy texture..... Hate grapefruit, tastes so acidic to me but I enjoy all other citrus fruits.

I don’t own a food scale. I’ve lost successfully by eyeballing portions and sometimes using measuring cups/spoons. I do log daily. I have nothing against a food scale, and would have bought one if I ran into a problem. I’ve lost 43 pounds since the beginning of the year, I’m at a healthy weight/BMI and have been…

Me too! I love bananas and eat them daily but banana flavoring is awful. Cherry too.

If you’re talking about only water for 14 days, that sounds dangerous and against the rules to advocate here.

I wish I liked seafood, but I just don’t.

I almost never lose my appetite. OP, I also tend to overeat-or want to- when I’m sick. It’s comforting to me.

I had the Peppermint Mocha for the first time over the weekend-sooooo good!

When we lived in Texas I loved HEB! It’s similar to Wegmans.

I get my lattes with nonfat milk, I can’t tell the difference once the milk is steamed and frothed. Love my grande nonfat blonde latte :)

@mprocyszyn -welcome :) It sounds like you’re off to a great start, many times getting started is the hardest part! As far as meal timing, it doesn’t matter at all when you choose to eat. If you’re not hungry in the morning, then by all means feel free to save your calories for later on. Best of luck, change happens over…

Me either! Ugh.

@reneinitaly -welcome and best of luck!

I’m the opposite-I like a lot of foods diced up. Not sure why either:). lol

Slower is better, in that it gives time to make new habits. Personally, a big motivator for me are all the smaller clothes I’m replacing my wardrobe with.

Wegmans, Shop Rite and occasionally Whole Foods. (I’m in Jersey)

I really like cauliflower rice. I don’t use it as a substitute for rice, but as a tasty veggie dish. I like to sauté it in a little olive oil, adding onion powder, pepper, and pecorino romano cheese.

The niece said *flat* stomach-a compliment:) Not on Thanksgiving, but a couple weeks ago while in my hometown to attend a funeral, my brother in law told me I looked great and a lot younger! He asked if I was on a special diet. Told him I just count calories. Others I haven’t seen in years commented on how good I looked.…

I don’t have any forbidden foods. I’m gluten free due to celiac, and need to be strict with it. Other than that the only foods I won’t eat are those I don’t like.

What you’ve done is huge! Congratulations on what you’ve accomplished and on the healthful years ahead

You look great!

Calorie deficit. I do watch my protein to be sure I get enough, but really I eat foods I like (and that like me) in portions that fit into my daily calorie allotment. I wear a Fitbit and eat back any extra calories I get from that. I don’t routinely do cheat days or meals. Yesterday (Thanksgiving) was the first time I went…

I also just enjoyed the day yesterday. I definitely ate over maintenance but didn’t go hog wild or anything. I logged as best I could, loosely. It’s a new day today, I’m wearing my size 4 skinny jeans, and it’s back to reality:) I plan to do the same for Christmas.

I love reading this thread! lol Just finished a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and I love popcorn-both sweet and savory flavors.
-
Just for reference, I’m 5’2” and lost my last 20 pounds or so eating 1400 plus any extra from my Fitbit. I think going with a pound a week plus exercise calories would be good for you at this point. It also helps as you approach maintenance to be eating a bit more.

I started 1/17/18 at 173. On 7/17/18 I weighed 139, so in that 6 month period I lost 34 pounds.
