That sounds like a good start! :-)

I follow the Ketogenic Lifestyle due to high A1C and insulin resistance. I very much appreciate fats! :-)

Good morning, Katie! I can speak to you about this. Way back when, I was 45yo and newly divorced and 251lbs I decided that I wanted to get back into shape (I was always in amazing shape....just 'settled' and ate three burritos from Taco Bell everyday!). I was living in Salem, VA at the time and knew that there was a…

Are you talking about "Low Carb" (such as, maybe South Beach or Atkins or Keto) or are you talking about "No Carb" as in absolutely no carbs at all? There is a Low Carb Group in here and there is a Keto Group in here (I am in both). I will post the links to both.

Can't we all just get along? Hold on....why does that sound so familiar to me? :-)

I do know - from others whom I trust discussing the results of different studies - and there is a slight difference between dumbbell and barbell OHP and standing and seated OHP. I will find that and link that discussion. It is a Scott Hermann youtube. I am pretty sure that Jeff Nippard did one, too! More to follow.

Nice work, @Will_Workout_for_food! Damn, all these young bucks showing off their amazing physiques. Come on, guys! Where are the more seasoned athletes?

THANK YOU for saying the obvious....one pound is one pound. Man, I am 51 and was in high school in the early | mid 80's. Did math change in the meantime? :-) I was starting to think it had! And, I was really good in math....Trig/Pre-Calc as a Junior and Calc as a Senior. I was thinking that maybe I had forgotten the easy…

And, if you are feeling really zesty, add 1/2 avocado (or, dare I say it.....one full avocado).
-
My bad. You are absolutely correct. I somehow missed that....yes, going up in smaller increments is tough if the smallest increment is 5lbs.

She, as I do, does her training at Planet Fitness. They have a *kitten*ton of 2.5lbs plates! :-)

Ah, ha! Consistency! Awesome when you can find it......sucks when you lose it! Okay....and thank you for not being offended by my comments. I was truly coming from a good place when I asked these questions. I see all the time people trying to copy someone else's caloric intake | macros with no other reason that "just…

Progressive overload is a concept by which you "make the training more difficult" (layman's terms). There are lots of ways to achieve this: 1. put more weight on the bar (either each session or each week) 2. do more reps at the same weight 3. decrease the rest period between sets There is a link in MFP somewhere (as I have…

Hello, gorgeous! My name is Cary. What is your name? HA! I know what your name is (Cynthia)! Glad that you and yours (BFF and her boyfriend) had such a fantastic vaca in FL.

Dang! Ha! I worked for AMG (which was run by Michael Ovitz) and that was purchased by The Firm (Jeffrey Kwatnitz). We had the two offices on Wilshire Blvd right up from Rodeo Drive. The 9401 building was so cool.....cool af (for back then....this was some 15 years ago). With what Agency are you? If you do not mind me…

Keep in mind that there is Type 1 Fibers and Type 2 Fibers (keeping that to a generic "2".....). Type 1 fibers are the so-called "slow twitch" while Type 2 fibers are the so-called "fast twitch". Low weight | high reps are good for Type 1 Fibers. High weight | low reps are good for Type 2 Fibers. So, the question needs to…

And, have y'all seen this one? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b7Ldxu5wcoE

Ha! I know all the folks at all of the Starbucks in Winston-Salem, NC. And, they all know me. They know better!

Throw that right back at 'em! On second thought, let them remain blissfully ignorant! The more for us!

Electrolytes......Pickle Juice is AWESOME for that. We Low Carbers | Keto Lifestylers need to be mindful of Electrolytes....

Hold on, you mean that is not normal? Shoot....I missed that memo (he says, making sure that his two lb bag of "Sherpa Pink" Himalayan Salt is still in the office drawer!!! Whew! It is....)

PREACH, GIRL! ON ALL ACCOUNTS.....

Welcome aboard, young lady! I follow the Ketogenic Lifestyle because I have high A1C and am insulin resistant. I trust that you are well past the process where the "Keto Flu" (and someone already made this comment, so I am stealing it....but I would like to talk to the people who came up with this term!) is not part of…

I am doing a bastardized version of the Bulletproof Coffee in that I am using "regular" coffee but then putting a nice chunk of KerryGold Butter in it along with 1/2 teaspoon of the Bulletproof "Brain Octane Oil". Not to be "TMI" (well, not possible with me....I am very blunt and matter-of-fact about these things) but I…

You are indeed correct. Which is unfortunate. It seems that lots and lots of folks have an agenda. To each their own. I try not to indulge them. Sometimes, however, I am not so successful. I was going to mention the two groups that have already been mentioned....so nothing to add there. I have been following the Keto…

+1 on the "Holly Kitten"!
-
Hawt dang, woman! You made that look far too easy! And, not ashamed to say....more than I can do (well, never tried more than 365lbs...).
-
Absolutely silly! Chicas can, and I would suggest should, lift heavy.....with no fear of getting bulky. Well done!

Every day for you, though? Right? Still, every day a NSV! Good for you!!!!!!
