Congratulations everyone on their weight loss, and those trying, keep going and never give up!
-
Yeah!
-
Yes but the belly pudge and such are still there.
-
No, in fact I'm at 160 lbs now, but the same problem lies with having fat in breastfeeding area, belly, thighs, arms, etc.

How do I start doing toning?

I guess I have to grow thick skin and do what I want and ignore everyone, because honestly, they think I'm like super skinny and I don't understand why I have all this flab and fat left on my body, jiggly belly and breasts, etc lol. Thanks for your feedback. Would love to hear more.

Update: After I made this post, in the morning, my grandmother lectured me on how 'you shouldnt lose anymore or you'll look like a skeleton.' I'm 5'7, 160 pounds. How can I be a skeleton by losing more when the ideal weight calculator says 145 is my ideal. Then my dad comes in and says 'if you want to lose your remaining…

If only they just saw all the flabbyness still there under my shirt, the slight manboobs, belly pudge, hip fat, thigh fat, arm fat, and more. This all shows when I sit down, it's bad. If only they saw that! I'm still not as skinny as they think.
-
That's the thing, I don't even mention it. They make the comments first, lol.

Update: He has started joining me on weight loss, but even so, he still sometimes tells me stuff like 'You shouldn't eat that little,' (when we're having food together...) so I feel like he wants me to eat as much as him so he doesn't feel guilty about his dieting? But yeah, just an update. :)

Thanks!

Thank you :) I've even thought about showing my belly flabs to them, although embarrassing lol but as evidence that I'm not too skinny like they say.
-
Thank you. That's what I think too, that they aren't used to seeing me this skinny, which is why they're acting worried about me. I look at myself in the mirror with clothes on and yes, I do look a lot skinnier than I was before, and in pictures too. But, like I said, under the clothes there's still fat and flab. So about…

Great responses everyone, bump.

I believe it's fat, because I read somewhere that it's only loose skin if it's like an inch or so that can be squeezed, at most. For me it's way more than an inch, it's literally probably like a handful of fat still left, especially in my belly area. I still have slight man-breasts, soft and fatty in that area. lol. It…

So you lost your initial weight all on diet? And you're not losing weight with exercise now in maintenance because you eat normally/not on a diet, right? Meaning your calories gained from food is canceled by exercise, hence maintenance.
-
Moral of the story: The more you move (exercise and other activities) and the less you eat, the more calorie deficit you have, which leads to weight loss/fat burn. Conclusion: Exercise is a calorie burning method for weight loss. Use it or not, it's beneficial and helpful for weight loss if you do, but not mandatory. Just…

I did, thanks! Basically then, exercise isn't mandatory but it definitely helps in burning calories, which is essential to losing weight, as it's EAT like you said, and when combined with NEAT and BMR and diet = successful weight loss. I get it now, thank you!
-
So then the guy who said exercise is unnecessary, in the original post, was correct somewhat... But exercise at least speeds up weight loss, right? In order to get that caloric deficit. The more calories you burn from exercise = the bigger the calorie deficit as long as you don't eat it all back up. So in conclusion,…

Thanks for your feedback. I agree with you. But I'm saying if diet alone made me lose this weight, and not the exercise, then why would I continue to exercise as that would be unnecessary in my weight loss journey. I'd save a little time and energy, you know? But if the exercising was a big part of my weight loss too, then…
-
Thanks for the feedback everyone. So I've come to the conclusion that first of all, this guy is wrong - exercise definitely helps in weight loss. Diet alone can cause weight loss, but a combination of both speeds the process up and is more efficient, i.e, exercising and burning a specific amount of calories from it makes…

And also, how many push ups per day is a 'good' enough amount to see results ?

Thanks! All responses are appreciated.
