No because i lift 2 times a week and I do cardio 2-3 times. BUTtttttttt, since I go over and screw up lots (like on the weekend) I hope Im at a better number for the entire week.

Well then I guess with the exercise I do and my desk job, my TDEE is 2000. So Im eating about 1300-1500 calories per day. I will lose weight. Putting it simple hopefully works
-
Ive heard if you sit on your *kitten* 8 hours a day and sleep 8 hours a night, but you run a marathon 3 times a week, you are still sedentary. Its about your lifestyle not your exercise regimen.
-
Thanks. I want to use the TDEE method. I was told to just enter how most of my days were and unfortunately that is office worker so sedentary and for that my TDEE is 1750 so I am knocking off 450 calories to get a deficit.
-
Wow! Lots of info here! Thanks! So my TDEE is 1750 because I am 5"9 and am a sedentary office worker. I have MFP set to 1300 cals a day and some days, mostly weekends I go over to about 1800-2000. I walk 30 min each day at work ( so 5 days) I lift weights for 30min 2 to 3 times a week. I do 2 other cardio sessions a week…

At sedentary with my height and weight, my tree is 1700. I'm 5.9 and 155lbs. I'm trying to eat 1250 cals per day but going over some days so prob averaging 1500 a day. 1700 equals about 11900 and I'm only at 10300. Not much of a deficit at all. But I do exercise...
-
Hmm so if I ran 2 evening marathons a week and play 2 games of hockey and a Sunday round of golf but because I sit in an office Monday to Friday, I would be considered sedentary? So you really do need to log exercise in MFP as well if you want to see how you are losing from accurate deficit
-
So I'm sedentary even though I work out?
-
Lol, ya!!! I will make sure to tell my body that you said this! I don't care about the calories I eat and what they do when im enjoying my time! It's 2 days!!!! Then off to maintenance on MFP.
-
Some days I go over so it should even out pretty good.
-
thanks everybody! I actually only logged 200 cals for it but im going to keep it there because it makes me feel better lol. plus i went over yesterday because of 4 low blood sugars with my t1 diabetes.
-
Mine will be happy and fun! Stress free! And looking fab! Face, books, stomach and all! Looking to achieve the best me for me!!! Not for other people.
-
Yes maintain the lower weight after. Of course!
-
Cool. I will still enjoy! Cuz the fun doesn't start til June 20 when I fly home. Lol. Head is down and strong til then. I will look slim.
-
Unfortunately today I went over goal as I had a high bs then a low and so I had to treat it and ended up over treating. So I'd say 1250 most days and aim for 1400 to 1500 on days I have lows or just feel like I need a little more. Wiggle room I guess this is called.
-
Not for me. I don't arrive home for wedding until 1 week before. My mom is doing most cause she lives there
-
My dress is already pinned up to fit current size. It will be completed mid May and wedding is end of June. No biggie!
-
I am 5"9 and maintenance is about 1750 so my deficit is 500 cals as im eating 1250 a day now
-
Yes i have a scale i use everytime i eat. Also, i don't have the time. I just want the weight gone asap and then maintain.
-
Nope prob not. Blessed with t1 diabetes and hypothyroid. and i have a desk job.
-
Snacks are given up so I can have bigger meals and stay under calorie goal.
-
I wasn't really trying hard enough to meet 1400. Now im at 1250 and im going to give it all I got!
-
I will only be eating 3 meals a day (hopefully lol) Breakfast Lunch and Supper.
-
Track sugars for 1 week and bring in to your endo office and the nurse can calculate new carb to insulin ratios for you. Cutting back on basal could help too.
-
Very interested that so many people eat whatever they want, just at a calorie deficit! I was so worried that to get any fat loss since im already healthy bmi that I would have to cut out processed food. bread. dairy. fattier meats. etc etc etc....big sigh of relief!!! Thanks!!
-
Right but my goal is NOT weight loss, it's body fat loss....so I lift, do cardio and eat less of whatever (healthy or not)???
-
Hmmmm I could live off of all fruit, greek yogurt and grill cheese sandwiches and veggies with dip and slurpees. Butttttttt I do have diabetes (ffs) so I do have to keep the carbs down. (100-150 per day).
-
Thanks, But should I be eating certain foods for this goal? restrict carbs big time? no bread at all? what about processed foods? like frozen convenience? what about my meat? is any thing ok? If goal is fat loss, does it really matter what types of foods or just eat whatever but be under TDEE and your good to go?
-
Yes for sure!!!! I think im gonna log on days that I eat out. I need a purse size scale for restaurants. lol
-
But if its a day I ate say Macdonalds, then Im totally at 2200-2500 for that day.
