  • Hi Rhonda, I’m at the same CW and have the same GW as you! I’m 41F. I had previously reached my goal weight 5 years ago but life threw a few spanners in the works and here I am again. I’m not very active due to some health issues but am focusing on increasing my steps and doing what I am able to.
  • @MNLittleFinn thanks for your reply! The route is local so I could get a few training runs done on it. There are 2 hills, one has a steeper incline but its mostly a flat course.
  • Thanks for the replies :) @pondee629 yes I had read your post. I like the idea of keeping 13.1 for your first half! I might use that too @TavistockToad I noticed some plans have hills and intervals, the hal higdon novice one doesn't. I might use that but ease into it over the next few weeks so I'm more comfortable with the…
  • I use a flip belt for phone and keys. I could fit an iPhone 6 and now a HTC 10 in without a case
  • @BruinsGal_91 -17C!! :open_mouth: in awe of you going out in that temperature! I wimp out at -2C and go on the treadmill instead! Well done on your PB yesterday
  • I did the 5k charity race yesterday. Considering starting the bridge to 10k and entering a 10k race in September. I had to take a couple of weeks off from everything because of a knee injury, but will he back to strength training tomorrow. I might just do that 2x week going forward. Still haven't reached bmi haha nor added…
  • I never knew that was there! Just checked my own and it's gear steps only which is what I was hoping :)
  • I know there was an issue over the past few days with map my fitness, map my run etc server problem wasn't allowing log in, exercise tracking and other functions. Your problem might be related to that?
  • Still plodding my way through C25K and doing strong curves three days a week. I still haven't added in any yoga yet as I'm getting used to doing both of these. On my rest day, I'm more active, going for walks and on my feet more. I'm 2kg away from upper end of bmi (was 4kg at end of Dec)! And eating more than I was…
  • I'm in Ireland but we've similar shops. I picked up some capris for running in primark, tops in tk maxx and sports direct (online). Also got good bras and leggings in tk maxx. I wear mostly black and dark grey btw!
  • Would like to join too! SAHM here
  • Thanks for the replies. Weight wise, I don't think I'm putting too much on as I can do 8-12 reps, just form does get shaky on the last and usually one less rep per set as I go through them. I'm a little sore the next day but it doesn't interfere with daily activities. Workout A does leave me a little tender alright around…
  • Day 1 & 2 cleaning completed
  • In for cleaning! My house definitely needs it after Christmas :)
  • My goals are: - finish C25K and do a 5k charity race in April - continue running 3 x week - a lifting program 3 x week - reach goal weight (currently bmi which is 4kg away) reassess that goal then - get back doing yoga a few times per week
  • I'm on week 5 at the moment. I tried it before but only got to week 3 day 3 so I'm pretty proud of myself for sticking with it this time! Every day is one more accomplishment and closer to my goal of completing it. I'm going to do a charity 5k in April (charity is very close to my heart - assistance dogs for kids with…
  • I had a much longer reply typed out but it only posted the first sentence!! I'm going to try working out 6 days a week, C25K and find something fun for the other days. A local gym has some classes and I might try some out for fun. After Christmas myself and hubby are thinking of getting a few basics for home gym, bench,…
  • Thanks for the replies, food for thought
  • Thanks @op for posting this! I find it really difficult to get depth with body squats. I know my body can do them (I've held onto a press to see if I could get the depth lol) it seems to be my hips are too tight
  • Glad my workaround helped you out! Jawbone occasionally pulls less steps from my pebble (sometimes up to 1,000 less over the course of a day) I've learned to just let that go and be thankful it's not crediting me with too many as I eat back most calories!
  • I use a pebble watch and had to find another app to sync my steps to mfp. Health pulls the data from my pebble, jawbone up pulls the steps from health. And finally mfp pulls the steps from jawbone! I had to change the order in health so pebble was priority. The screen shot has my iPhone details cropped at the very bottom.…
  • I'm in for the second challenge!
  • Smoker here too. What I've noticed over the past few weeks is that I'm smoking less and less each day. I'm doing C25K and 30 day shred. It's usually at least an hour and a half before I reach for one after doing either of those. I'm consciously replacing some cigarettes with water too. I tried vaping before but I…
  • Thanks everyone for all the replies! I need to have a proper think as I really don't think I could physically do both, my body really hurts after 30DS and I need to be mindful with C25K due to shin splints.
  • I really want to take up running. I've 4 children and it's nice to get that 30 minutes of me time outside of the house. The 30DS (day shred) is a circuit training program. It takes about 30 minutes and can be found on YouTube. I find it very intensive! Would both push myself too much I wonder though? There's no way I could…
  • Hi! Sahm here too! Would like some friends too!
