Strong Curves - left side very weak

Hi, if anyone could give some advice on how to even out strength on both sides, I'd really appreciate it. This is my first time to do any type of lifting programme.
I recently started strong curves. I have absolutely no strength lol but have noticed when doing dumbbell military presses, single leg glute bridges and any other exercise that utilises one side at a time, my left is lagging well behind. With bench presses, I've noticed my right side is picking up the slack.
What would be the best way to increase strength on my left side? Thanks!

My left side was a little weaker when I started. I just carried on with free weights and it self-corrected.
I'm wondering if you are starting with weights that are too heavy? How sore are you the next few days afterwards?
I'm getting 'Strong Curves' in the mail today or tomorrow and will let you know if I learn anything helpful for you from starting that.1 -
If you are doing unilateral exercises and first exercising one side and then the other, use the weaker side first. Pick your weight based on the weaker side and increase when that side hits the rep goal. Using dumbbells can help since the weaker side will have to work on its own without help from the stronger side. Mostly, give it time. The vast majority of people are weaker on one side than the other so you are very normal in that sense. Over time it will get better.5

Thanks for the replies.
Weight wise, I don't think I'm putting too much on as I can do 8-12 reps, just form does get shaky on the last and usually one less rep per set as I go through them.
I'm a little sore the next day but it doesn't interfere with daily activities. Workout A does leave me a little tender alright around chest and shoulders, but stretching helps relieve it. And copious amounts of water (I wasn't much of a water drinker before!)
I do start with weaker side so I can give it a bit more effort. Thanks @jemhh for suggesting weight based on weaker side and I'll replace barbell with dumbbells for bench press.
Thanks again0 -

I'm trying it too! I would suggest using dumbbells for any exercise you feel you have a week side on. Keep going and it should get stronger over time.0
